The staff seemed annoyed by simple questions, even when we tried to be nice. The hostel said that it was an all girls room and then the next morning there was a male in our room.

it was impossible to lock the door of our private room so everyone can come and steal when we were not here!!!

Faucets are hard to turn on/off and continually leak, shower drain was clogged. Only plus of this hostel is the location and the company of the other backpackers.

Hello, We only spend a night in this hostel but this was not our best night on East Coast ! The only thing that made our stay is that we have been upgraded to a twin room (we travelled as a couple). The facilities were not clean, some taps were leaking (reported several times), and we saw cockroaches in the kitchen (main kitchen on the first floor above the pool). Regards, Stephanie & Clement

The Hostel has very excelent location and some of the people that work there are really good at what they are doing, but unfortunatelly the cleanliness is not good at all. I got bitten by bed-bugs, the bathroom was very filthy and when I told the staf at the desk they should take care of it they told me it is cleaned every day. Also, there was no possibility to leave any of the valuables in the safe locker since they were broke and the AC hasn't been working as well.

Verry awful. Don´t spend your time there!!!! There was only one cooking pot in the kitchen. The bathrooms are not cleaned.

left camera on a bus during a tour, the guy working reception that night said i couldn't get it till morning (after i left for my dive), he managed to get the camera back to me that night. wicked people

this place is a complete dive.we arrived on friday night to a filthy room that had dirty sheets and hairs on the pillows(sheets had not been changed from the previous users)the floor was rotten you couldnt go bare foot as it was so dirty !!the shower was pretty rough and alot of empty containers left on the floor.the kitchen was dirty and the fridge smelt as if there was something dead in it, there was little or no cutlery and again all the surfaces were very dirty,it was a horrible place.

Bad ventilated rooms and worned down rooms. The people in the reception was good with giving information about tourism around Cairns

Nice location, excelent staff but poor maintenance of the rooms, bath rooms and especially laundry areas. Still the price, locanton and information is worth to stay with you again :-)

Staff were EXCELLENT in making us welcome and helping me track down my lost mobile phone. Common room well equipped, good atmosphere about the place in general. Clean sheets, but room itself was very shabby & not very clean (awful marked, dented flooring).Great location & service though for the price.

The double room were very, very dirty and it was very fusty! Disgusting!

This property could not have been anymore misrepresentative of what it is. From check-in the experience is miserable. Jenny at the front desk could not be more bitter or rude. Not only does she not help she will actually lie to cause others a hard time. The facility is filthy. They have no towels even for hire. If upon check-in your room is dirty they will inform you if the housekeeper doesn't show it is not their fault or problem. Our beds were covered in dirt and someone elses hair.

Wait too long for airport pick-up. Hotel should provide the time table of the bus or can meet with the arrival time of flight.

As a backpacker you have to watch your money! This hostel offers you good quality for less money! Free breakfast with cereals and fruits as well as free dinner with different variations of pasta had been excellent. Location was superb - everything just a short walking distance away. And the staff has been the most lovely one I have ever met. They had been so helpful and friendly. I liked it very much!

Had a very pleasant stay with nomads, the rooms were clean and cant go wrong with free meals! Access to esplanade and close to the city makes for a popular place to be. Everything was very smooth going and booking trips was made easy and fun with the staff at reception. Adam had a very friendly attitude and recommended alot of exciting tours to do. I hope he keeps up the good job as it made my stay more than comfortable and stress-free. Great work!
