One of the staff( Called G) was texting While i was tried to speak to her. She FIRST answered after she was done texting.. So rude!!! The double room was like Being in prison. No Windows. The pay for thise rooms are not fair. Offer a Much lover Price for that bad room!!! The kitchen was nasty. People don't clean up after Themself. The kitchen was Way to small. You could only cook one person. The kitchen smelled because there was no Windows either. So bad hostel. DONT GO THERE

This hostel does exactly what it says on the tin! Although not the cleanest or most welcoming, it is perfectly placed in the centre of Auckland and has everything a backpacker needs plus a decent bar/nightlife.

We only stayed for one night but I think the apartment layout would be good if you were staying longer term. Double room OK size, bathrooms a little small. Excellent location, close to main street and airport bus stop. Free (small) evening meal is a bonus. Staff friendly and allowed us to check in early with no extra charge.

A little worn around the edges but still good for the money, plus free small meals each night

Hostel was alright, definitely bang for your buck because it's not to expensive. Isn't to much going on, I only stayed there for 1 night but it didn't seem to lively (could of course be because I wasn't there long enough) Facilities and rooms are alright, beds are not to great but it works. Has a bar downstairs with FIFA World Cup matches and $10,- great breakfast which was good.

Staff were great and very helpful. Great backpackers

Cheap convenient hostel with good location. I wouldn't stay more than 1-2 nights.

I like the location.

Should have free wifi at the hostel

Stay in the all female dorm was much better than previous stay in mixed.

Dirty, bad atmosphere, no air conditioning in the rooms, no power points in rooms, no lockers in room. BUT the staff were awesome. So so helpful.

Handy location. Close to the center. Staff are lovely. Beds uncomfortable beds with no ladder for some bunk beds. A fairly good budget hostel.
