Good location in terms of city centre and transport but can be very noisy due to bar downstairs. Lacking in atmosphere because of apartment style layout, people don't tend to use communal areas. Seemed grubby and dirty, my sheets were stained and extremely itchy. Staff seemed ok but when I needed to check out at 4.30am there was no one to give key to despite reception being 24hr. After waiting 10mins someone apologised and said his friend, the receptionist, was busy partying. Not a great hostel.

Great stay, top bunk was a little uncomfortable, but the apartment style layout of the dorms was great for meeting people.

Room was above a nightclub that went on until after 2am then everyone spilled out hooting and hollering, great if you go to Minorca.

Is very well located. Nice place and very nice staff. But poor housekeeping

The shower was a bit dodgy and the bunk bed was really wiggly. Other than that the place was fantastic and all the staff was friendly and helpful! Free dinner was a great bonus.

Nice place right in the city, rooms were quite warm would be my only gripe, nothing flash or anything to rave about, get what you pay for, it is a hostel remember!

Great hostel - nothing but nice things to say about them. Location is basically across the street from a Metro stop and only 2 stops away from Bondi Beach. Area is lively at night, but can be a bit shady so be careful, but the security in the hostel is good regardless. Kitchen area is also very nice!

Dirty and stinky hostel. The room was really small and dark, with no one single window. Comon area and kitchen also dirty. I came back to Auckland and went to a different hostel.

Good location, bathrooms were clean but the room was a little dirty(may have been long term resident in my room). Reception was friendly but cleaning crew was not. Great that you get a free meal everyday but would have enjoyed more cleanliness, bigger kitchen, and cleaner fridge.

quite loud when you're on the second floor above the bar. don't go here for a good night's sleep. but the value for money is alright, and the staff are funny, very friendly and helpful. location is perfect, central and easy to find from the bus stations and britomart
