Overall a really nice hostel. The location was brilliant, right in the centre of town. The hostel itself was clean and vibrant with a good bar area and spacious rooms. The wifi was good (although you have to pay) but the computers were unreliable with half of the microphones not working. The staff were nice and helpful although sometimes we had communication/language barriers. Beside the kitchen being small for a hostel of this size, I would definitely recommend staying here.

It would be handy if there we just tiny benches in the showers cubicals so you didn't have to put everything on the floor

Really nice clean rooms, quiet, really good bar downstairs that had fun themed night and drinks specials. Was a bit expensive, and the kitchen is tiny and really frustrating to use so I wouldnt stay there too long unless you can afford to eat out all the time

The room I was in was occupied mostly by gap year people who'd been there for 3+ weeks, and as such it looked like a first-year dorm room... The staff at the front desk were friendly enough, but not particularly helpful (couldn't/weren't interested in giving food recommendations, etc.) On the plus side, the bar downstairs is a great place to meet other travelers and miraculously isn't too loud after 11 pm. It's not cheap, though!

I've stayed in hostels around Australia for almost 1 year now and haven't had as much fun in any as I've had here, there. Staff were always helpful and actually act like they want to help unlike a lot of the recepionists where I've been before. In the bar there is always something to do at night and the staff in the bar are a great bunch too. Bedrooms and toliets are clean and spacious, plenty of them too. Definitely worth a stay, no questions!!

Apart from a kitchen that can get a little packed although they were working on it, I really enjoyed my stay here. They have an excellent bar and had a beer pong tournament while I was there. Everyone seems up for a laugh, met some nice chicks and some good lads while I was there. Toilets, showers and rooms all pretty good and clean. Staff are good too, got a free upgrade cause I arrived early and had to wait around before check in while my room was being cleaned. Will be back!

This hostel was dirty. From the common areas to the rooms and the bathroom facilities it was dirty. We exited the elevator on the second floor to a bathroom door that had been kicked in. The kitchen is tiny, way too small for the number of people staying in the hostel. The rooms are small in hot and the fans are broken. There is no air-conditioning. The private rooms are bigger; however, at 135$ per night, you can find a 4.5 star hotel for less. My wife and I will not stay at another Nomads.

One toilet was a disaster on our floor but others were perfectly fine. I can see why the room would definitely need an air conditioner in summer as it was pretty hot on a cool day. The bed was very squeaky. But apart from all that, nice clean hostel with good value for money. I will be back.

Nomads is in a great location within walking distance to the cbd and right on the doorstep of the amazing Vic market. The staff on reception were so friendly and always ready to answer questions and the bar staff always smiling. Will definitely stay here again. They put on a delicious BBQ when I stayed there too.

Nice hostel, good rooms, beds squeak a lot though. Location is good, a bit more expensive than other places in melbourne, but this hostel would be a lot nicer than a lot of places in Melbourne.

The hostel was to big for us and had no atmosphere. If you traveling alone it's not the best place to stay. It was hard to get in touch with people. It was not the cleanest, but I have seen worse. If you are expecting a clean hostel you have to stay at a hotel in sted.

As a fun place to stay close to central city was great. Our 6 bed dorm was spacious and sunny with well equipped en-suite. All the staff friendly and helpful, no complaints!!!

dirty rooms, kitchen, bathrooms, toilets very very noisy until late, not able to sleep. Kitchen is too small, at 6pm cooking is not possible. No local lights in the rooms or any small cupboard. No sink in the room, never seen the iron there. Always busy, the hostel seemed always be overcrowded. very squicky beds

Had a fairly bad experience in the end staying here. Mainly due to poor information or miscommunication of staff members.

Overall the hostel was good. There is a nice bar downstairs, friendly people working at the reception. The showers worked well and were clean enough, only some hanging space would be nice to hang your clothes. Only problem was that in our room the ventilator was not working and according to my room mate it was already broken for a couple of days and they didn't seem able to fix it.

Great location, kitchen is way to small for the amount of guests. Great bar and staff! Value for money is not really good. Dorms are pretty expensive and don't have any AC.
