I'm not sure why there were no lockers in the 4 person female dorm that I stayed in. At the very least I was expecting that there would be a small locker for each person so that you can store your valuables.

Bathroom did not look like it had been cleaned once in the 10 days I was there. The kitchen was far too small for the number of guests

I stayed in this hostel on 17/11/2011 and 18/11/2011. I can not sleep well at night due to mosquito biting probably (I am not sure it was mosquito or something). I got lots of biting, swelling limbs and felt very itchy. That's why I think the cleanliness is poor.

The worst hostel seen in one year of travel! * 5m² for the kitchen, so always busy and dirty! only 2 fridges! no enough table! * bathroom sucks! not any shelf, not enough hook, not any sink!! ( the sink is in the toilet with cold water only)!!!!!! AND BESIDE! EVERY THING IS NEW!!!! Who is the IDIOT who built all this!

When I arrived the beds were unmade when i came back at 9pm they were still unmade, the room smelled and with a definite lack of oxygen. Don't go here unless you are drunk or partly deaf. Don't go here if you are over 30.

I have traveled quite a bit but have never experienced such poor management and unfriendly staff! I am happy to say that because of the mixup they refunded our money but getting kicked out of your bed at 1:30 in the morning because they made a mistake on there behalf was just horrible. I will never go back and truly think they need to do a better job with managing, organizing and planning!

La cuisine est bien trop petite par rapport à la taille de l'auberge. La salle de cinéma es très bien, avec plus de dvd bien ce serait génial!

Nomads was fine as a budget hostel, until my bag went missing! I have been very disappointed by the level of concern that the staff/manager seems to place on belongings going missing. As far as hostels go, you can find better in Melbourne.

Average atmosphere, disappointing to find out: 1) can't buy own alcohol and drink anywhere on the premises 2) when they confiscate which is already annoying, they attempt not to return until check out 3) advertise free pasta and rice etc but charge $2 to rent pots and pans overall stayed in many hostels and other nomads and this was by far the worst - poor treatment of everyone - and no positive atmosphere

A stay at Nomads Melbourne is highly RECOMMENDED by me! Enjoyed my stay here so much! Mainly thanks to the always friendly and helpful staff and the great atmosphere in the bar/lounge area (they offer cheap specials on drinks every night!). The hostel was very clean and the location is excellent: next to the Victoria Market and nearby other highlights of the city! The girl from the Mad Travel Desk was so nice and helped me booking the Great Ocean Road and the Grampians, which were both amazing!!

Really loud early in the morning (maybe all the trucks driving past for the market)? Other than that really good.

Firsty double check your booking and make sure they dont put you in the other nomads in Melbourne like what happend to us when we turned up at 10pm! Hostel staff were friendly. Had a 6 bed mixed dorm which consisted of 2 perminant staff living there which made us feel as if we were invading there space, although they were top dudes. In our 48 hour stay to watch the mighty vodafone warriors almost everything broke! first the drinks tap at the bar, then the lift, then thank god the till!!!
