Staff wass uninterested in the problems of a backpacker. No own alcohol anywhere, but there was a bar (staff struggled to pour a decent beer). However the bar was boring due to a massive screen with a nintendo Wii, which just sucked up all social interactions. You social time will consist of watching other people play a game. If you just want a clean bed, go here. If you want fun, search something else.

4 bed-dorm with ensuite was clean. Beds slightly uncomfortable, noisy location but great walking distance to city centre. Staff helpful and friendly, even though it took them 40 minutes to find a towel for me to hire.

Enjoyed my stay and the staff were helpful when I needed a taxi or to book extra nights. Location was an easy walk to a tram stop. Only issue would be noise from the bar at night but it was good they provided opportunities for people to socialise with theme nights & bar promos.

The beds are so squeaky it's hard to get a decent nights sleep, every time you or anyone else in the room moves you wake up. Possibly got bed bugs too. lift out of order for several days and staff not available to help with luggage. Good location, right near the city and nice smokin area out back but some guests slightly questionable.

Generally speaking a good stay in a cool city. Just a bit annoyed by the noise of the street in the morning. Defenitly not the kind of place to look for if you want something quiet! Fairly clean rooms, toilets and shower. Cool staff.

Very sociable place, easy to meet friends. The tour wasnt particularly informative compared to others i have been on as the guides didnt really flow the tour well, we ended up directing outselves most of the time! But it was a great way to meet people in the hostel and had a subsequent great night out in melbourne. Be ready to take a trip to the supermarket/queen victoria market to buy your breakfast/dinner supplies for the communal kitchen. Free rice/pasta/tea/coffee/sugar. Creaky beds but clean
