We had a private two person room since nothing else was available and yet still we had to go all the way to the first floor to use the internet, which was only working 8am to 8pm. Pretty rediculous since we arrived late afternoon and left next morning around 7am so We weren't able to check our next day's travel plans at all. For a private room price there should be unlimited free Wi-Fi available at all times, really affected negatively to our next day.

The best hostel I've ever seen. The place is huge and runs like a well-designed hotel. There are tons of travelers at Nomad and they are very well taken care of. The kitchen is massive, the living room is awesome, and the staff is extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I ended up staying at Nomad for 5 nights because it was such a great place to be. The hostel has a great vibe and offers a lot of deals. It also organizes group activities, like bar hops, which are very fun.

Fantastic hostel!! Great location next to lovely bars and restaurants and the lake. Large kitchen! Adventure bookings desk downstairs. Free dinner at night - very small portions but its free! A very sociable hostel. I would highly recommend.

Thank you for giving us a good experience. We enjoyed the facilities. You may need a bigger kitchen for all of your guests.

The hostel was warm and mostly clean but the bathrooms had a foul smell about them for the 2 days we stayed both in the males and females. We couldn't work out whether it would be the drainage in the showers or sewage lines.

Nomads in Queenstown is an ideal hostel to stay. It has all the amenities one would hope to have in a hostel. They take all the measures to make sure that the hostel is secure and no un-registered guests enter the building. The kitchen can be a little cleaner. They are right in the middle of city center and in a safe neighborhood.

One of the best I've to!

I've stayed in dozens of hostels around the world and stayed here in 2010. Five years later, and Nomads Queenstown is still my absolute favorite! Excellent value for money! The highlight of excellent service was Chris Philpot at the travel desk. He was knowledgeable and booked all of our activities. He knew what to do each night. When we ran into trouble and our flight was delayed, he helped us out. Great part of the Nomads team. Promote him/give him a raise - this guy's great!

It's a great place to stay. Has a great enviorement , which allows people to interact easily. The staff is always helpful and available for any doubts, bookings, check-ins/outs... They offer free dinner... I strongly reccomend this hostel for a backpacker, you will have a great experience.

Nomads Queenstown is a super social and fun hostel that only will supplement the fun you'll have bungee jumping & skydiving! The staff is super friendly, the Ice Bar/Pub Crawls on Monday nights is loads of fun. The location is literally 50 steps to shore of Lake Wakatipu, Wi-Fi is free everyday from 8 AM to 8 PM, you can't "drink" in the hostel, the bathrooms seem like those of a hotel, and the kitchen/lounge area is a nice plus. They offer free breakfast/dinner so you can save money that way.

Large hostel with all the amenities you need. Very clean and comfortable. When I was there it was loaded with Kiwi Experience bus travelers who already knew each other and stayed together. Didn't seem to have many solo travelers off the bus circuit, or at least they weren't hanging out in the common areas. I've stayed in a lot of hostels and met a lot of fellow backpackers but this hostel was by far the hardest to meet others. I was eager to find somewhere more intimate after a few days.

Overall an excellent hostel with terrific staff. Areas for improvement; 1. Minimalist, kaotic breakfast set up. 2. Water conservation & recycling in general, quite poor. 3. Shower leaks alot, in both rooms we stayed in.

Hi there, Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback, it is the best way for us to see how we can get better. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay at Nomads Queenstown. Just so you are aware we do have a number of recycling points around the hostel, for paper, cardboard and plastic etc.. At reception we also use recycled paper in all of our printers and recycle all of the paper we use for our daily reception reports. All the best for your future travels The Nomads Queenstown Crew

Hostel itself is decent. Draws a noisy crkwd, but does the job. Being a dry hostel is rediculous though. And the refrideration capacity in the kitchen is severely undersized.

Hi there, thank you for your feedback. We do have a 24 hour reception, with staff walking around all night to keep the noise down after 9 pm. We also offer free ear plugs at reception all the time. Unfortunately due to to feedback from guests we did make the decision to go dry about 2 years ago, Queenstown has over 80 bars so there are plenty of options, if you want a beer in town. And we also offer excellent drink deals at Loco Cantina. All the best, the Nomads Queenstown Team

Clean and friendly hostel, although if you're looking for something small with a "community feel" this might not be the one for you. Loads of facilities like a laundry room and massive kitchen/living area - all around a good place to be.
