Overall quite pleased. Thought it was expensive for a backpacker atmosphere when I have been able to get hotel accommodation for much less elsewhere. location was excellent

Had a nice stay in this hostel. The room with ensuite was clean, big enough and had a balcony. They also offered free dinner and breakfast although I never made it for it. It's not the cheapest, but probably one of the best hostels in Queenstown! Would stay there again.

Pretty new hostel, with nice facilities, although a few things in my room were broken (sink faucet was loose, soap dispenser fell off the wall, toilet seat was missing a bolt). I can only imagine what the hostel will turn into if they don't take care of the rooms and make necessary repairs as things break.

We stayed in the ensuited rooms and they were a good size but the noise from behind the complex made it very hard to sleep - great for younger people but not for people who like to go to bed for some sleep.

I can't recommend Nomads, Queenstown highly enough. I have loved every minute here and absolutely gutted to be leaving. Queenstown is an incredible town and Nomads just adds to the experience and atmosphere of being here. I have never stayed at such a well run, maintained and social hostel. I'm 33 and found that there was a really good age range here. The free dinner at 6 every night really gets everyone together and chatting so its so easy to meet people.

This hostel has a brilliant location -- just a few metres away from the lake. The private rooms are very reasonably priced for a double, and the receptionist was kind enough to upgrade us to one with a balcony overlooking the lake. A lovely spot to watch the sun go down! There's a pretty extensive communal area and kitchen too, as well as a whole lot of activities to do. The staff were very friendly and the whole place is super new and clean.

Although slightly more expensive than other options in QT you get what you pay for with nomads. It is New, clean, has lots of communal space, a good tv room and a sauna. You also get a free dinner each night, although not a huge portion anything for free when you backpacking is a bonus. My only complaint about this hostel is that you cannot drink anywhere in the hostel after 9pm. I felt like I was being mothered when told I couldn't drink after this time. On the whole a good hostel.

Of all the 10 or so hostels I stayed in in NZ over 2 weeks around the Christmas holidays, this had the best facilities and was the most luxurious. I stayed here for two nights with my sister in a twin ensuite, which was spotless and with facilities on par with a nice hotel. The computers (with Global Gossip) were modern and allowed us to backup photos with ease, as well as download a HD 90 minute movie in minutes. We checked and the internet speed was faster than that at our university.

We had a private double ensuite. Everything was great, except that the shower tends to splash out to the bathroom floor. That was rather annoying. We tried pointing our shower head towards the other direction of the glass door, but it was minimally better. Maybe those rubber things that keep the water inside the shower could be repaired. We had this problem in 2 different private double room bathrooms.

Loved that there were free meals. The private room we stayed in was better than a hotel! Thanks for the stay!
