Great location, helpful staf but lets itself down (as do the majority of hostels in NZ to be fair) with a lack of free internet. Why do all hostels charge? Also operates a 'no alchohol' policy. I can understand why this is in place for the alcoholic tourists of the world, but it can feel criminalising when you just want to drink a casual supermarket bought beer without having to stand outside in the cold.

Had a great time at Nomads when i was in Queenstown, met fantastic people in my room as i was travelling by myself ! The staff was always smiling and funny talking on the mic. Rich at the reception (during night shifts) has been great ! He is definitely someone to keep in your staff ! :D Thanks Nomads !!! Frenchy.

Everything was really nice, you get free breakfast and small dinner between the allotted time if you wanted to save money and the staff always make sure there's loads of stuff for you to do. My one down point is that my bed was breaking the whole time I stayed there and someone did come to check on them but nothing was done about it.

Very big hostel but the kitchen is great!!! I would prefere to have bigger lockers but that's because I'm used to haven that.

Excellent setup overall. A little on the pricey side for the dorms and, ($4 a day or $12 a week for net) remains an expensive hidden sting to the backpacker. I would argue that this is the best Nomads hostel in New Zealand none-the-less. Great mix of people and party/reserved nights. Music is rarely heard from the rooms. Atmosphere as always can be dominated by a flood of kiwi experience kids, or groups of obnoxious units. If you want a good night out however as a single person, Hostel suffices.

Great great staff!!!! Very helpful and nice. However, if you want a peaceful hostel without partying people, it might not be the right place. If you are though, it's probably the best place ever! You don't have to know people to make friends in that hostel and it offers a lot of deals (bungy jumping, happy hours, etc.)

Super friendly staff... Dont know them all by name but Ronan and Denny stick out...extended our stay at late notice and they bent over backwards to ensure that we were satisfied with our rooms on each occasion....the hostel is spotless and there are no shortage of friendly staff on hand to help you with all problems...cant comment on the free breakfast and dinners but plenty of people seemed to enjoy them....ive been travelling for 7 months now and have been to many hostels, but this is the best

Nomads Queenstown was by far the best hostel I've stayed in in my three months traveling. A bit more expensive than a lot of the other hostels but was definitely worth the extra. We stayed in a private twin room and it was actually more like a hotel than a hostel. Really big comfortable communal area and all the staff were so friendly and helpful, especially Ronan and Bungle! Have already recommended this hostel to friends planning on visiting Queenstown.

A very lively hostel. Nice to have a free meal every night. Good facilities like the cinema and the sauna. Bathrooms were also very clean and bedrooms were spacious. A good place to meet people and party if that is what you are after but if you want something a bit quieter then don't stay here!

They also have events including pool games and soccer, and i love there cinema room!! I felt that it was really clean and I love there loudge room with fire places ect :)

What struck us most about Nomads is the cleanliness. It was refreshing to stay in such a clean hostel. Staff are very helpful in organising activities both in and outside the hostel. I would defo stay here again.

It's just big and not very enjoyable for a single traveller. Often where The Kiwi Experience stops, which can be a bit.. challenging sometimes. Have to say though, the location is great, didn't pay a fortune and the cleanliness is spotless. A good hostel, but lacks any sort of personal touch.

Its a big hostel so it gets pretty noisy at night, especially with the 8 dorm, but generally very happy with my stay at Nomads Queenstown. They seemed to have a problem with people drinking in the dorms though, as during my stay they enforced a total alcohol ban. Apart from that, its a pretty good place.

The hostel was fun of energy, and located in the middle of town. I liked staying there and thought the rooms where really nice. I only stayed in the ensuite rooms, and those bathrooms were awesome. The regular security was fine, but I was keeping a bag there while I went on a 5 day hike and was not impressed for the security for the luggage storage room. They did not make an effort to make sure that I was only taking my bag, which I was not sure I liked.

Excellent room & helpful staff. In good location which I carefully chose (didn't have to climb a hill *grin*). Website did not say a single person would have to pay for 2 people to occupy an en suite room.

Loved my stay here. The private rooms were as good as the hotels I have been staying in down the coast.
