Another great Nomads hostel. Central location, its got probably the best bathrooms in a New Zealand hostel and the lounge area is proper cozy. Dorms are a decent size and its always nice to have a balcony with a great view. Unless you like eating with a spoon you might want to bring your own cutlery though!

The hostel was very well located, just a very short walk from the centre and great views from the lake. Also the staff were very helpful eg booking tours and advice about what to do around the area. Would very much reccomend staying here to anyone.

Great location bad atmosphere and rude "paid staff" The hostel is a dry hostel and no exceptions the paid staff are very rude about the hole thing and treat us like children. The volunteer staff are fantastic friendly and very helpful. I think in future you need to work on your customer service and re think the dry hostel idea. I can see you try to make up for it in other ways but those ways are profiting other businesses that you clearly have a deal with and not helping the backpacker. Thanks.

Dear Ben, Thanks for the feedback. The staff in are trained to be respectful and courteous to all of our guests and as far as I am aware that is how we have been with all guests. If this was not the case, please advise names of the staff members as I would really like to make sure they are spoken to and this does not happen again. We have had excellent feedback about the dry hostel and everyone is informed before they check in about this. Kindest regard

Though its a very big hostel right in the city center its been amazingly nice to stay there. You can walk from there to everywhere important, the kitchen is well equipped, the rooms have a heater and lockers - all good. Just the bathrooms could have been a little cleaner but even that was overall okay! The staff was nice and the place is a very good option if you are on a budget!

I enjoyed my time at Nomads Queenstown. Great views of the mountains, clean and spacious rooms, and great location to downtown.

Some staff were arrogant and unfriendly but others good. Dry hostel made atmosphere boring.

Thanks Samuel. I believe I have already emailed you personally regarding these issues and once again thank you for taking the time and your help. I have spoken with the staff members in question and although it was not intended to come off negatively, they will be more aware of their attitude in future. All of our staff are normally always positive, energetic and cheerful! Kindest regards Management

Good central hostel. Plenty of anemities. Free breakfast. 6 bed dorm wasn't much space after everyone's bags were in there. Good lounge area and cinema room.

Purely because of the atmosphere I hated this hostel (if you can even call it a hostel): full of drunken idiots, an annoying speaker for announcements (which you can clearly hear in your room) that are abused by the staff. You can't drink in the hostel either, which only testifies to the types that stay here. The only reason I bared it was that I got a free upgrade to a room with an en suite and a balcony that I could smoke on. If I stayed in the normal dorm I would've killed myself.

Only downfall was the other people in the dorm room who where disgustingly dirty. The staff were amazing and tried to do whatever they could to help. The facilities and rooms are all new and clean and perfect location.

We stayed in a 6 bed dorm which was way to small for 6 people during ski season, everyone has a lot of stuff so it was quite a squeeze. Same with the drying room, that was definitely too small for a big hostel, it was always such a struggle to find space to leave equipment & I wouldn't be surprised if people's boards/skis etc got damaged from being knocked over. Staff were cool, and you get lots of discounts at a few bars, ski hire shops etc. Lots of events/activities organised which was great!

the people that worked there / worked for accommodation tended to stick together. It was a bit clicky, they didn't involve other people in their conversations. Some times felt I was in the way when in the kitchen / communal areas. Other that that the rooms were always clean and tidy. The staff of reception were very helpful. And the free dinners were very good.

I would definitely stay there again!
