Very bad. People stole me 2 times all my food. And also stole me my longboard (420$) and when y asked them help they didn't do nothing. Very bad stuff. i don't suggest that place to any body.

I've been travelling around Australia for a few months now and stayed at Nomads in various locations. Sadly though, this one in Sydney was the worst I've stayed in. I thought the building and instalations were very old, and the rooms lacked windows and good ventilation. The staff was very nice though, I asked to change rooms at some point because the bathroom door wouldnt close, and they changed it for me right away.

I've stayed at 100's of hostels and this one was pretty bad. To be honest it has rad potential it just needs some better staff training, TLC to things such as that god forsaken elevator, and security. Communial kitchen was good. Wouldn't stay again though.

The best bit about this hostel is the location. Right in the middle of the main city so can't complain there. The family room is small and expensive for what it is but i suppose its the location you pay for. The staff were friendly but I feel they could have been more knowledgable about the local area. Good lounge and kitchen area but could of done with more kitchen equipment. Overall pretty happy with my stay.

This place is disgusting! I've stayed in hostels all over Australia and now in New Zealand as well. Nomads are a well established chain and can do much better than this. The kitchen is filthy; half of the stoves work and the same goes for the fridges. The beds are so uncomfortable and that's if you're lucky enough to find one that isn't broken. The atmosphere here is unbearable! The hostel is full of people that have failed to grow up. These children about nothing but this godforsaken GOON!

I've stayed in many hostels but this has to be in my worst 3 list. The 'ensuite' that we paid extra for turned out to be a bathroom across the hall with a metal grate for a door that allowed anyone walking past to clearly see in, which made having a shower and going to the toilet humiliating. The communal, unisex toilets were all covered in urine and had no toilet paper. When checking out we had to wait 15 mins to get down stairs as the normal, modern looking lift seems to have never worked.

Hostel was dirty, cockroaches in the room, glad we had our own bathroom in our family room as I wouldn't have liked to share the bathrooms.Only one lift worked and it took at least 10 minutes to wait for it to arrive then when in the lift it went up and down and stopped at each floor for no reason!! Nightmare! The kitchen was filthy and not enough utensils for everyone that stayed there. Our food got stolen from the fridge which really wound me up....tumble dryers not working either.

Perfect backpackers. Clean and quiet rooms, good showers, toilets etc... and an excellent social area where lots of people party. And all that for a very decent price.

Room was never locked, no safe in room, safes in kitchen were broken, three toilets for approx 50 people on one floor, toilets were not regularly cleaned, half the hobs in the kitchen didn't work, the cooking equipment was old and damaged, no free wifi. Overall not what you would expect for the price in a major city.

Maintenance issues in the room, and it clearly hadn't been vacuumed in a while. Not sure if the use of the Fire Panel PA system to promote events is legal.
