Normas Hotel Reviews

You get what you pay for with Normas hotel (or maybe a little less). The presentation of hotel is dated, and while reasonably clean, and the rooms reasonably large, it really felt low cost in everyway. The rooms were terribly noisy at night with the local cafe patrons partying, and lots of street noise into the wee hours of the morning. In fairness, the staff tried to be helpful whenever they could. In the end one pays a basic room rate and gets a basic room.

It is the worse hotel of our my life, noisy and dirty. It is impossible to sleep Es el peor hotel en el que hemos estado en toda nuestra vida. Sucio y muy ruidoso. No se puede dormir.

For the price it's decent -- there's a large comfortable bed, an ensuite bathroom/shower, space heater and TV that's convenient to downtown sites. However, it's right across from 5 CD stands that blast late-night music, the room was never cleaned while I was there, and it generally smelled of smoke. The older manager is friendly and helpful, but the punk teenage kid who can't count on his fingers said I owed an extra 5 dinar and didn't take credit cards. Not a place to meet travelers, either.

Though we arrived very late, the room clearly hadn't been cleaned nor the sheets changed after the previous client. We told it to the staff who brought fresh towels and clean sheets but isn't it the very least you expect in an hotel without having to ask for it? The bathroom was dirty too. We spend 2 other night in 2 other hotels in Amman which were far less expensive and way cleaner. Location is good but noisy, the heater is efficient and the staff isn't very professionnal but quite friendly.
