North Bank Youth Hostel Reviews

The hostel is not at center of city, but you can reach it easily by Taxi, motor taxi,Bus or walking 15 mins. The staff are nice and helpful , can give you nice suggestion of travelling Xishunbanna, Room and washroom are clean, I stay here 3 night and enjoy staying here

The major problem was that it's far from the city center. It's a nice place and is hard to find if you can't read or speak Chinese. I would still recommend it, just not necessarily for a backpacker type spot.

The hostel is far from the main attractions. You need to walk 30+ minutes to get to the main area. It is nearly impossible to get a taxi from the street close by. The staff was not helpful getting us a taxi saying "the taxi drivers we know are too lazy to pick you up at 7:30am". The staff did not know the region. A double bed is a bunk bed and was way too hard! The room fan was broken. The bathroom was not cleaned regularly, and if cleaned was not done well. Their rental bikes were all broken.

It was just ok. I slept on a really hard bed. Actually I think it was just a wood table. But It was ok... The guy on duty didn't care less about my lost wallet, but finally I found it in front of his computer (I guess the work mate put it there anyway is not bad, but not amazing.
