I spent a few days at Novas and i will definitely recommend it. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly, they speak proper English, the lodge is being cleaned constantly. Plus their coffee latte is quite good. I also met some other nice fellow travelers. The atmosphere is chilled . I was a little nostalgic when i left.

The best hostel I have been to. Really comfortable bed &shower. Free self-service kitchen and cheap bike rental.Super friendly staff with fluent English. They always try their best for help that makes me feel at home .Nova is a very special nice hostel which is really different from the others.Good location with many local food nearby. Remember to get local suggestion for the food from the reception girls before you go out. I also did the panda tour and Sichuan opera with them. That's awesome!

the biggest plus-point about this hostel is the member's kitchen, which is a great boon if one has had an overdose of szechuan's infamous spicy hot-pot. as an aside, restaurant prices in chengdu seem to be a little bit on the stiff side.

The internet connection is really awful. Additionally, some of the front staff are unfriendly & unhelpful. They will help you book tours with them, otherwise they'll give you wrong info on travelling alone by bus. I was told by 3 staff that there are no direct buses from Chengdu-Leshan & Chengdu-Lijiang. This is incorrect, it is in fact possible. Why mislead ppl? Furthermore the food was always cold, why not bring it out sooner? At least it was very clean & the area outside is nice to hang out.

Excellent Hostel, and the staff are so friendly. My friend reccomended it to me,and i too have reccomended it to another friend. I Like my stay that much,I extended. Been here twice how, total 3weeks stay. It's located very nice part of Chengdu, and the Tifun square is only 15mins walk. Very good Chengdu BBQ located around the corner, delicious food. Facilities are great, bike rental is cheap and very secure hostel. Very relaxed enviroment, comfy common area. Hostel feels like a home :D

I honestly can't fault this place. Arrive at 5.30am, and they let me crash in my bed even though I had only paid for the upcoming night! Great movie room, fantastic food, and even better staff, who did everything they could to make my stay perfect Tony is great, as is the beautiful girl with big black eyes, though sadly I ain't remember her name! Curtains around the bed make for a peaceful stay, and the bathrooms are cleaned regularly.

This hostel is one of the best that I have ever stayed in. It's exceptional staff are not only helpful they truly go the extra mile! The hostel has great facilities and are easy to accomodate your needs! It has tours that hit all the sights of Chengdu with some of their own personal touches (a cooking class) as well. I would have no reservation staying there again and would recommend it to anybody staying the area!

An awesome place to stay in Chengdu. All personel speak very good english, the place itself have resonable prices, air-conditioning in the rooms, and a great number of facilites. Also they provide free map(very convinient) and different types of tours to every interesting sightseeing in the Sichuan(for very nice price as well) / Probably the best place to stay in Chengdu)

I stayed in the dorm room (6 beds) which was a little dark, but cozy. Beds come with curtains to give some privacy. Facilities were cleaned on an hourly basis. The staff was very helpful, competent and proficient in English. The location of the hostel is convenient for taking the bus, though the subway is a little far, but still walkable. The communal area has, unlike most hostels, more a cafe- than a baratmosphere.
