The hostel was clean and close to the SMNovella Station. The security was a bit low as the door of the hostel was usually open. However, we had our room key. The hotel is good for the price you pay. Don't forget to add the €uro tax to the original price.
Located 300m from the SMN train station in a quiet, respectable side of the city, but still easily within walking distance of the city centre and it's nightlife. We had a charming private double bedroom with a quintessentially Italian theme to it. The receptionist was extremely friendly ans welcoming especially by comparison to our accommodation in Rome, even allowing us to leave our baggage in the foyer all day after we checked out til our late night train departed. Would definitely return.

A little bit difficult to find the location however once we arrived staff was very welcoming, facilities very clean, and great value for money! Had our own private room and only had to share the bathroom with one other group. About a 15-20 minute walk into the centre of Florence, and close to several good restaurants, supermarkets, and ATMs. Would highly recommend this to anyone!
Novella Italy in general was a good BandB, but somethings were a bit disappointing. The breakfast was poor, WiFi did not work and you could not use the kitchen for cooking. Location was good, 10 min walk from central station and the room was very spacious.
The hostel was ideal for what we were looking for which was a base whilst we looked around Rome. The only thing was one of the keys didn't always work for the main door so we had to sometimes wait until someone else came in. Aside from that it was a great place to stay.
the location was good, but the area at night was ugly. the place was clean but the service bad because we requested that change the lamp because there was no light and never did. other host stole a coke from the fridge twice and twice we had to report it and they gave us a newone , the first night they didnt gave us the enter key to the place and we had to wake a host to open us, after waiting several minutes outside. the guests dont pay atention to the necesities of the hosts.

The hostel is 10 minutes away from the centre, it is not expensive at all and the staff is amazing. Our room and the shared bathroom was clean all the time. The breakfast was also nice. If we had any problems, the staff helped us. It is safe, you don't have to worry about theft. They treat their guests very nicely. I am sure that I will choose the Novella Italy hostel when I go back to Florence.

bad room was flooding, and The heaven of mosquitos, Hot room, and bad breakfast I can't explain bad thing of this hostel
Quiet part of town a short stroll to city and train station. Huge rooms with wifi. Only downsides are no airconditioning and heaps of mosquitos so made it hard to sleep. But everything else was good. Good value for money for backpackers like us!
Very clean, comfy bed, close to the station and an easy walk in to central florence!
Location, staff, cleanliness, breakfast and of course Giovanna is perfect ! :) It can be preferred unwavering.
We liked the location - you can´t park in the centre. This hotel is quite near the centre - about 10 minute walk. Other things were OK. There is a shared bathroom, but we knew about this in advance, so we can´t complain..Fortunately, there are only 3 double rooms, so it is OK: The staff didn´t look very friendly and you can´t pay by card ( but it is also said on the web page, so we were prepared ). And we didn´t like breakfast which was very small - pre-packed croissant and some biscuits.
Breakfast very basic. Small but useable kitchen. Great large bedroom. Free laundry facilities and drying rack. Room and bed made everyday. Quite a walk (30 minutes) to main attractions.
Location is near the main train station and 10-15minutes walk to the old town. Bus stop just downstairs. The host family lives in their private rooms in the same apartment, but they always respond to you when you have questions and were very helpful.
Our room was pretty spacious and it was nice to have a private double. The breakfast consisted of a packaged croissant and packaged toast (didn't even know that existed). Certainly not enough for a breakfast, or an all you can eat like most hostels. But the facilities are great. Wifi is spotty but accessible in the hallway.
We've stayed there for 2 nights on the first days of June and after first night I had almost 20 mosquito bites. So if you want to sleep well and not be covered by little red dots in the morning, you should be well prepared.
Decent basic accommodation - staff is not very friendly or helpful, but it is in a good local and close to the train station.
the host were very nice with us. tis is a quiet plac at 5 minute walking from the train station et 10 min from the center
It was a great experience in Giovanna's hostel. Very warm, comfortable, clean, and nice. It had a lovely breakfast and coffee machine just outside our room. The only bad thing was that the toilet was two floors above us making things a little complicated.
Good points: - reasonable price - large room - proximity to the station and easy to find. Next to a main road, but not noisy.Polite gentle owner. Bad points:- The whole house smelt of sickening air freshners . Our room had a strong smelling plant in it . The shutter couldn't be raised, there was no catch to open the window and let in fresh air. There was a single sheet on a double bed, bed covers were very thin, and the central heating left on all night. Better to give warmer covers .
