Its only 10 min away from train station by foot and 15 from most of tourist attractions! Stuff was really pleasant, room was clean and we liked it very much. Ive read reviews prior booking,so we took ear plugs and were sleeping like babies there, although its very noisy street and you may have problems with sleeping. Breakfast was small, but still very nice. Only one disadvantage - there is no ANY kithchen or somth like this so we couldnt boil water for tea,cuz we like to drink lots of tea :D

All the staff were very helpful and kind. On our first night there was a problem with our room, but they found us somewhere else nearby at no extra cost and the host took us there in person. My only small complaint would be that there was no response to my emails ahead of our arrival, so we were a bit worried. It's possible my e-mails or the replies were not getting through, though. The apartment is very nice and really close to the main station and city centre, ideal for exploring!

Advantages: The breakfast was included (coffee, orange juice, jam, a croissant, biscottete and fruit), the landlord was nice, the room was spaceous, the room had a fan, you can pay by card, they give you shampoo and soap (but there is not handsoap in none of the toilets) Disadvantages:Very noisy room for old windows, bad ilumination, bad wifi signal, the booking says that the city tax is 1€ per person per night but it´s 1.5€ and the booking says that you have shared kitchen but not anymore.

Salve, tassa di soggiorno per la mia strutura e 1,50 a persona, prima da. rispondere informati benne.Grazie .

The room itself was spacious and clean and the owner was nice. Breakfast was bad - coffee was undrinkable and croissants were the packed ones. What was the worst was the location - many hostels and hotels in Florence, especially the cheaper ones, are located on busy noisy streets. But windows in Novella Italy were isolating almost no sound at all and even though we stayed at the 4th floor, it felt like lying on the street next to the roaring buses and motorbikes and didn't get any sleep at all.

Great location – walking distance from the train station and at the same time walking distance to the centre and all the main attractions. Friendly owner and staff. We had a really pleasant stay and would recommend it. PS: The bed needs to be changed because it was literally falling apart. ;) :)

In summer, it was too hot! Couldn't open the windows as it's right on the street and hence extremely loud. The only good thing was the location. Very close to the station and the main attractions.

It's walking distance from train station. There is kitchen and you can have breakfast in the morning with coffee and everyting or you can cook.Bathroom is shared but always clean and staff is very good.Internet connection is very very good and fast. But there is no air-conditioner in the room so you have to leave the window open and it is a very busy street even if in the nights.I recommend this place.

My boyfriend and I are interrailing round Europe and were pretty disappointed by our stay here for 3 nights. The staff, apart from one young women who did the cleaning, were really unfriendly and just not interested. Room was clean and good sized but it was impossible to sleep. We had a small electric fan that didn't help at all, no air con and traffic was horrendously loud from our window. Will not be staying again.

Novella is a great little "guesthouse/apartments" located 10mins walk from the main train station. We enjoyed our stay here except visiting during high season at temperatures over 30' there is no air conditioning and it is near impossible to sleep as the room is never cool. A fan is provided but doesn't do much on the hot days/nights.

Rude receptionist, took ages to check in. Room was extremely hot with no air conditioning and a pretty useless fan. Bathroom was disgustingly dirty and water didnt work half the time

It was great accommodation for a night, comfy bed, clean, just considering those days in Firenze were so hot, it would be great to have air conditioner in the rooms.

The wifi in our room was not working even though otherwise stated on the website. we informed the staff and they did not take it seriously. The lady in the reception was rude and she was implying that we were lying. The room was extremely hot during summer. We could not sleep because of the temperature and mosquitos. I dont recommend this facility at all!

There was not air conditioned so I wouldn't suggest it during the summer: Moreover the hostel is localized in a street very noisy. I can't slept well for the heat and noise. Staff is not friendly. Breakfast is included but it is poor.

Absolutely loved my stay at Novella Italy! Staff were lovely, room was very nice and spacious! Only a short walk from Santa Maria station and centre of Florence. The only thing I would change would be some form of air conditioner or fan as the room was very hot, otherwise very enjoyable!

Very good location, 5-10 minute walk from Firenze SMN train station. We were very pleased with the room, spacious and homely. The only issue was the lack of fan and aircon, especially hot in summer. We could open the window for ventilation but there were mosquitoes flying in. Expect a basic breakfast with juice, coffee/tea with packets of muffins and biscuits. Overall a pleasant stay, but you might want to bring your own portable fan :)

Found hostel clean, nice to have a private room for cheap, bathrooms fine. No washing machine. Staff couldn't speak English well and spoke very loudly in the morning which woke you up too early. One night there was some sort of argument with the owners family which made me feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Quite unprofessional.
