In general, it wasn't a good stay. At first, despite I have warned them I would arrive later at night, there were nobody on the reception. I tried to call them but they didn't want to help me. My luck was that the owner of another hostel on the building helped us. About the room, it was dusty but the bed was clean and the bathroom wasn't good, because the water in the shower was very cold. The worst part was the "breakfast", where there was bad food, nobody to serve u and the dishes were dirty.
Easy to get to from train station, didn't have a problem in the area. Decent but not too far walk to most sights in Florence. Room was big and good and bed was comfortable. We knew the bathroom was shared so can't really complain but the toilet and shower are in the same room so a bit hard if you're busting and someone else is in the shower. Don't bother with the breakfast, but overall pleasant stay.
The staff just stay in the hostel in the check in time. You can't use the kitchen, just the fridge.
Close to the train station (5min). Simple place but good for the money you pay. Walking to the main spots is ok. Our bedroom was big. Would stay there again.
The hostel was clean and close to the SMNovella Station. The security was a bit low as the door of the hostel was usually open. However, we had our room key. The hotel is good for the price you pay. Don't forget to add the €uro tax to the original price.
Located 300m from the SMN train station in a quiet, respectable side of the city, but still easily within walking distance of the city centre and it's nightlife. We had a charming private double bedroom with a quintessentially Italian theme to it. The receptionist was extremely friendly ans welcoming especially by comparison to our accommodation in Rome, even allowing us to leave our baggage in the foyer all day after we checked out til our late night train departed. Would definitely return.

A little bit difficult to find the location however once we arrived staff was very welcoming, facilities very clean, and great value for money! Had our own private room and only had to share the bathroom with one other group. About a 15-20 minute walk into the centre of Florence, and close to several good restaurants, supermarkets, and ATMs. Would highly recommend this to anyone!
Novella Italy in general was a good BandB, but somethings were a bit disappointing. The breakfast was poor, WiFi did not work and you could not use the kitchen for cooking. Location was good, 10 min walk from central station and the room was very spacious.
Far from the center and terrible bathroom facilities. Good breakfast, pretty clean bedrooms.
The hostel was ideal for what we were looking for which was a base whilst we looked around Rome. The only thing was one of the keys didn't always work for the main door so we had to sometimes wait until someone else came in. Aside from that it was a great place to stay.
the location was good, but the area at night was ugly. the place was clean but the service bad because we requested that change the lamp because there was no light and never did. other host stole a coke from the fridge twice and twice we had to report it and they gave us a newone , the first night they didnt gave us the enter key to the place and we had to wake a host to open us, after waiting several minutes outside. the guests dont pay atention to the necesities of the hosts.

The hostel is 10 minutes away from the centre, it is not expensive at all and the staff is amazing. Our room and the shared bathroom was clean all the time. The breakfast was also nice. If we had any problems, the staff helped us. It is safe, you don't have to worry about theft. They treat their guests very nicely. I am sure that I will choose the Novella Italy hostel when I go back to Florence.

bad room was flooding, and The heaven of mosquitos, Hot room, and bad breakfast I can't explain bad thing of this hostel
Quiet part of town a short stroll to city and train station. Huge rooms with wifi. Only downsides are no airconditioning and heaps of mosquitos so made it hard to sleep. But everything else was good. Good value for money for backpackers like us!
Very clean, comfy bed, close to the station and an easy walk in to central florence!
Location, staff, cleanliness, breakfast and of course Giovanna is perfect ! :) It can be preferred unwavering.
We liked the location - you can´t park in the centre. This hotel is quite near the centre - about 10 minute walk. Other things were OK. There is a shared bathroom, but we knew about this in advance, so we can´t complain..Fortunately, there are only 3 double rooms, so it is OK: The staff didn´t look very friendly and you can´t pay by card ( but it is also said on the web page, so we were prepared ). And we didn´t like breakfast which was very small - pre-packed croissant and some biscuits.
Breakfast very basic. Small but useable kitchen. Great large bedroom. Free laundry facilities and drying rack. Room and bed made everyday. Quite a walk (30 minutes) to main attractions.
