Nice small hostel in the heart of cairo, surrounded by very relaxed shishabars.the friendliest and most helpfully staff i met on my whole egypt-trip.you can always have a good joke with them and they make you more than enjoying your stay.i recommend every visitor of cairo, especially the backpackers,to come in this hostel.if you want to feel the real atmosphere of cairo, this is the best way of accomodation.even the bedouin hotel next door is a good hotel and the staff (especially ibrahem) aregood

Staff are very approachable, extremely friendly and helpful, show you how and where to go to save money. Hostel is very safe and well located, central downtown Cairo, close to shops, restaurants, cafes, churches, mosques , Tahrir square and Egyptian museum. Free wifi throughout hostel. Multi channel, multi language television in all rooms, constant supply of hot water, breakfast provided, perfect hostel accommodation for travelers on a budget.

The hostel itself was decent, I have seen cleaner rooms and less noisy places though. My main issue was the staff. Their main goal seemed to be to sell you overpriced tours. We did one of these tours hoping to get quality and no hassle as promised by the hostel. In fact it was a scam. The driver kept bringing us to shops which tried to sell us stuff very aggressively. When we refused to buy things they simply dropped us off at gizeh and told us they would not be our tourguide there.
