Awesome hostel, the facilities are great and the staff were extremely helpful with organising a bus as well as recommendations of where to eat and go for a night out. The bar area downstairs looks great, only complaint would be the drink prices which might make some prefer to buy drinks at the 7/11...

The place was great! Everyone makes you feel at home and because of the bar on the bottom floor you can also have a chat with the locals. Although security isn't top notch there is never the feeling of having personal belongings stolen and the rooms feel much nicer to be in than in the pictures. Right next to cheap/tasty food and the railway. Plus you can always buy your drinks/food from the bar downstairs. Amazing place to stay.

An incredibly cool hostel with loads of character and a good atmosphere. The lounge downstairs serves great coffee and tea during the day and becomes a bar at night. Its isn't too loud at night though so you can still sleep completely undisturbed. The beds in my dorm all had a plug socket with multi-plug adapter and lockers to leave valuables in during the day. Plus each room has its own code, so its all very secure. Only problem is that it gets full quite quickly, so book ahead!

For a hostel, the facilities and level of cleanliness is very satisfactory. The staff were very friendly and the hostel is located relatively close to a subway station. Additionally, with a pub on the ground floor, this place comes highly recommended.

The stay was amazing. Bathrooms were very clean. Staff very helpful and being close to the subway is a facility. But the highlight is the bar where you can meet not only travellers, but a lot of locals. It was amazing!

Great hostel. I would not want to stay anywhere else in Tokyo. Beautiful, clean, fun, easy to find. Did I mention beautiful? But why check-in time so late? I know they let you store luggage during the day, but 4pm is late compared to other hostels.

Loved everything about it... the paper they give you when checking in with the floor and room map with all the details you'll need while staying there, the spacious room and bed, the curtains in your bed so you can have your privacy, the bar, the showers, the staff, the great location! Best hostel ever!!!

Amazing friendly staff meant that we really enjoyed staying in this hostel. We stayed a few nights in a private double room - very very basic with concrete walls and little space, but clean and tidy. we then moved to a dorm - great bunks with privacy curtains and individual lamps. Common areas were ok - the downstairs cafe/bar a great place to meet both locals and tourists. location on 2 subway lines very convenient.

Good location near Asakusa line, and walk-able to the Ginza line. Hostel has a nice bar downstairs, and staff was very friendly. Showers and restrooms were nice and clean. Rooms were good as well.

Amazing hostel which used to be an old toy warehouse. The bar downstairs had basically everything you needed from a bar and had a live concert going on when I stayed there which was very interesting! The staff were very very friendly and warm. They were always smiling and very helpful. Stayed in an 8 bed mix dorm, which had curtains provided on each bed. One thing is that on my floor the sound proofing was really bad and that you could easily hear other room doors opening and closing.

the backpackers is above a really nice bar, which is great if you have some yen to spare but also leaves the actual common room pretty empty - so if you're looking for company it'll cost you! the bathrooms are fantastic and extremely clean, beds comfy, dorms large enough. easily accessible from the metro, but very far from the viby neighborhoods - and with the metro closing at midnight that means you'll have an unintended curfew or spend more than the accommodation cost on taxis.
