Nuovo Ostello di Bergamo Reviews

I've spend two nights in this Hostel and I was very pleased. The rooms were clean and not too small. The staff was nice, but you had to ask them for everything. When you asked, they where very helpful. Breakfast was a lot better than in other hostels, but way far from good ;-D ... well. It was ok. If I ever need to stay in bergamo again, I surely come back.

Hostel was tidy, clean, good value for money, and with a decent breakfast included! Only tiny thing, could be a bit difficult to reach if you depend on public transport and maybe land late in the evening. For the rest, great place, will definitely be back there next time!

Great staff :) location is cute but far from train station. Payment is some expensive a specially to compare to hostels in other cities but Bergamo is very nice and cute :)

it was very scary nobody was there and the location was like on a mountain and also is very boring there is no positive atmosphere but it was very clean

We have stayed here a number of times as a family and as a member of a large scout group and on each occasion we have found the hostel clean, the rooms are of a good standard for the price, the staff helpful and able to provide information if required. the staff will even order in pizza for you if you ask. It is ideally located in a quiet cul de sac and on the number 3 bus route that takes you directly to the old town..

Room was ok, but it was definitely too cold inside. Hostel is located quite far away from city centre, but there is good bus connection with the beautiful old town "Citta Alta". On the other hand, in Bologna we had very comfortable 3-star hotel with much better and bigger breakfast with lower price.

well its located right in the mountains, staff are good and frndly, nice place to stay a night or two, and very clean

is one of the best hostels I ever been, it is really clean and well communicated with the urban bus.

I will never come back to this hostel, and I recomend not to do it, at first, the had an offer offering 3 ninghts paying only 2. They didn't do this offer to me because I reserved via Hostelworld and I had to do it via their mail. So I lost the price of a night. The day before leaving I was talking with the recepcionist wich time I will leave (6 in the morning) So whe I was leaving the recepcionist wasn't there, so I left the key on the table and I lost the deposit for the key.

Hostel is quite some distances from the center area,but is reachable by public transport. BUT the worst thing is that, in BERGAMO, you will never know which stop is the right stop, as the bus stops do not have any signs , until i asked someone in the bus, at least gone wrong for 3 times just trying to reach the hostel.overall ,Hostel is good,clean and the heater is strong.free breakfast as usual.

The only problem with this hostel is its location. It's really far away from downtown and historical center (cittá alta). But there are bus stops just few meters from hostel and two bus lines connect the hostel with train station (line 6) and historical sights (line 3). Otherwise, it's really nice place - clean, helpful staff, good breakfast, free internet connection. And it's really hard to find a hostel with normal prices for single traveler in north of Italy.

Breakfast could be better. Poor options to choose. Rest very good.

comfortable and perfect for a nights stopover before an early flight

Nuovo Ostello is situated outside the centre of Bergamo, however there is a dedicated bus line reaching immediate vicinity of the hostel. Everything is well organized and clean, breakfast not bad, staff nice. It was quite quiet when we were there. Quietness might be the only disadvantage of this hostel, it seemed to be a bit boring place where everything is perfectly organized and in order.

I only stayed in the hostel one night, and left at 4:45 am on the airport shuttle, which costs more when you go before 6 am...no one told us that. I did wonder if it would have been cheaper to go in taxi, honestly. In any case, it was very clean, warm, good bedding, and nice people at the front desk. Too bad the continental breakfast isn´t available when you wake up before some have gone to sleep...

I had a great time at this Hostel. I stayed for 1 night-I had a great sleep-the bed was perfect as were the pillows. The Hostel was very clean and the rooms were spotless. Simona on the front desk was a great help-nothing was too much trouble. I'll definitely stay again.

The hostel was extremely clean. Staff was very helpful, especially with the language barrier.

Although it is located quite far from the city center there is a really good connection of buses to arrive in the most important places of the town. The good thing is the airport transfer the hostel offers to its customers. I needed to get to the airport after 5am in the morning, so they arranged taxi that arrived in time, and in addition they found other people who wanted to go to the airport at the same time, so at the end each person paid less for the taxi.

This is up to now the biggest youth hostel i have ever seen. the facilities are really good, bathroom and bed are more than a hostel can offer. The only problem is the location. it is up hill and can be reached by Bus No.3. however if you plan to arrive late than 10 pm, on weekdays, it might be hard to get there cuz the there's no public transportation at that time and have to take a cab around 12 euros. Despite that, this hostel is really a wonderful choice.

Over 30 minutes walk from town - NOT AT ALL CENTRAL.
