I've been to a few hostals and hostels in Madrid and this one was the worst. I wasn't pressed by dark corridors and total lack of character. We stayed there only for one night because of excellent location. However it seems to be more like a pleasure house rather than authentic madrid hostal. Also no breakfast!

I was incorrectly told that I didn't have a booking when I arrived. This problem could have been resolved more graciously.

Pros: The staff were friendly and helpful and the hostel was close to metro, also walking distance from many sights. Cons: The wifi was horrible and kicked us off at least every 5 minutes and the street outside was so noisy (even on Sunday night) that it was pretty hard to sleep. The bathrooms were fairly clean but the hostel had a certain dark and gloomy feeling to it. Ok value if you have earplugs and aren't looking for charm. Don't come here for a romantic vacation or business trip.
