Hi there! The corridor, that smelled of gas, the bathroom and the bedroom we've used really need a make-over. The mattress of the bed was of a very poor quality. After three nights our backs aches. The bathroom was too tiny. Nobody has privacy in it. The place was clean, but honestly if it hadn't been I would have asked my deposit back and we would have slept elsewhere. Breakfast wasn't much either. Only o bowl of cereals, a few toasts and a waffle in a plastic bag. We expected more for 200 p.

The only thing this place can be recommended for is its location. Other than that this was probably my worst hostel experience ever, and I've stayed in probably more than a hundred by now. Very dirty place, disgusting showers, no community spaces at all. Also, this is not a travelers hostel. Lots of youngsters looking for jobs in London. Nothing wrong with that of course, but these people have no idea about hostel etiquette. Complete lack of hostel atmosphere therefor.

Small hostel in great location. Close to laundries, tube station, cheap restaurants and pubs. Rooms have decent size with lockers. The owner / staff is friendly and helpful. Showers are tiny and need refurbishment, kitchen is tiny too.If you are not too fussy this place is pretty good. I stayed one week and I enjoyed my stay.

O'callaghan's was a decent little hostel for a good price in a good location. not the cleanest place in the world but far from filthy either. there appears to be only one staff member here but he's a nice guy and pretty helpful. the only real problem I had with the place was the lack of a common room.

The positive aspects of our stay at O'Callaghan's: The staff is really nice and always tries to answer your questions. The best was the location, as the tube and super markets are near the hostel. nfortunately, there were some negative aspects too: The ceiling and the walls of our room (N°. 8) were disgusting. The bathroom is quite clean, but the showers, well.... There's not much space to change your clothes and warm water is a bit shy ;) I recommend the hostel because of its location! :)

Staff was quite rude to me and my friend. Perhpas he's only to friendly to certain patrons. Breakfast area was the guy's office space where there were plenty of cereal and bread to eat. I suspect that notmany people bother with eating since there was no space to eat and no food items were allowed out of his office. I was also told that checkout meant we have to leave the premises immediately and we couldnt have breakfast as well.
