Lovely and helpful staff. Excellent location and nice breakfast.

I called the reception during my stay, to be told that he had not paid correctly my stay and after a few minutes it was proved that error was just the receptionist, just spent embarrassed by the fact in question (translated by google)

This hostel was fairly bad. One of the two "rooms" we booked appeared to have once been a bathroom with the toilet and sink removed, and it only barely fit two single beds. Both rooms had paper-thin walls. We booked (and paid for) two private "ensuites," but were given rooms without their own bathrooms. Normally not a problem for me, but there was only one common bathroom for the whole place, and it was unisex. Location is convenient. Overall I'd consider this an okay last option in O.P.

The 4 people room we booked wasn't available at our arrival... Instead of that room, wa had to stay in a dormitory and had to pay extra compared to the standard price. Don't understand why.... The room was very noisy. Nice point : the boss spoke english and even french!

This place is ok if you literally just want a bed to sleep in and don't care about anything else. The place is old, there are remnants of dead insects in common areas, the bedroom had an odd smell to it, sheets & blankets kind of iffy. Fernanda was nice & helpful, good location but otherwise, meh.

The kitchen does not have anything, you have to ask for everything at the restaurant. Its close to the center, but at a more or less noisey street. As well it smells the entire day like the burguers they frie downstairs.

It was our first time in Ouro Preto. The Hostel met our expectations and the Staff was awsome! The owner gave us many tips and also guided us through some places around the city, as gold mines, and waterfalls... I strongly recomend this hostel, for anyone... great place and people!

Clunked with beds. I had the impression their attempt was to put as many beds as possible in the rooms, not taking things such as the number of bathrooms or even a minimum comfort into consideration. Showers were functional, even though their structure forced you to walk around with only a towel on. Management would lose track of everything and asked me to move from dorm to dorm three times in my 2-day stay. Some of the dorms were even poorly improvised, practically in the alleys. Skip this one.

I cancelled the reservation two days before. I found a cheaper place to stay in at the last minute.

Bien placé, et surtout un staff vraiment sympa!

The staff wasn´t helpful at all, the bathroom and the shower were not clean and in horrible shape. A kid got kis I pod stolen the first night so everyone was afraid of leaving anything outside! there was no security whatsoever in the place. the breakfast was poor and the sheets looked like they weren't washed in ages. I do not recommend this hostel AT ALL, jsut if you have no other option

Very unclean, no staff around most of the time, breakfast was shocking, stale bread and rotten fruit. Very disappointing.

Pleasant enough hostel, staff were friendly, quick walk into town centre. Kitchen facilities were a little basic but that aside all good.

Positive: Location (but the one indicated on the map is NOT correct!!), cheap, ok breakfast Negative: No character, staff never asked/said anything personal like where I was from, where I could go in the city (even though I speak Portuguese), the bathroom (I think there was only one..?) and lockers are downstairs and half-outside and my dorm upstairs, which was not very..convenient

Not so impressed with this hostel, location is good (although location showed on the map is not correct, maybe hostel should update their directions here on the website), lack of toilets only two available for the whole hostel, dorm was really small, almost no room to leave your backpack. Staff was ok. But probably the best budget choice around

Great location and breakfast provided. But although it was winter, no blankets were provided, just a sheet. Only one toilet for all the rooms.

The staff were extremely confused about whether we had paid for our nights or not resulting in a lengthy but unnecessary discussion regarding payment. The men's dormitory stank very bad and had rusty nails on the walls. To top it off, of all the bathrooms in the hostel three were clogged and the one that was not clogged did not have a functioning light. Doing your business in the dark is less than desirable. I can say that I enjoyed the breakfast however.

Dorm beds were very small and there are only 2 toilets in the hostel, but staff is great (specially Ney and the girls) and location is pretty good. Great option for budget travellers.
