My stay here was very good value for money. There is a great atmosphere, very socialable and welcoming vibe. It's in a brilliant location. The cleaners clean the room very well everyday so it's always spotless. The staff a great, but one man on the desk tried to pull a fast one saying it was 60rs a night, even though I'd booked on hostel world. i had to argue with him before he finally let me have the bed for 25rs, and he still wouldn't deduct the deposit. His behaviour was wholey unnacceptable.

Our room had no window or AC for ventilation, needless to say it got VERY hot and stuffy in there.

Great staff

We had a private room which was across the road from the actual hostel, no problem with that. But the room itself had no air conditioning, and we couldn't leave the window open for security reasons. Over at the hostel it could do with some general maintainence, the wooden floor outside is rotting and uneven and stairs to rooftop are not completely safe! The staff there were okay but nothing special. Breakfast was really nice though, and the drinks served were good too. Decent location from bars.

Awesome! Staff were so nice, caipirinhas were good, strong wifi. Really an oasis in the chaos of São Paulo. The only thing that was a little strange was the unisex washrooms (although still separate male/female showers) could disturb the shy travellers a little bit.

A clean, trendy hostel in a good and safe area. Metro station was a 13 minutes walk, so not that close. Good atmosphere in the hostel and nice bar. Was not stunned by the facilities though. There were no public computers, wifi only worked properly in a radius of 10 m of the reception. The worst part were the 3 minute showers with a beep every minute which made a shower far from relaxing. I get the point of saving water, but make it at least possible to shower for 5 minutes. 3 minutes is too less

There was an amazing atmosphere with the social activities that occurred at night really got to know everyone. The hostel itself was Beautiful and vibrant and so unique.. felt quite amazing. Only criticism is the security of the rooms. Open rooms with no locks and the lockers provided were not big enough for a open dorm. But still worth every penny and would definitely recommend it to everyone.

The facilities were subpar. I was sleeping in the Verde room which is a few steps away from the bathroom and the smell dominated the room for much of the time. The toilets also flushed sparingly and the stalls themselves were rather small. On the other hand, what made this place great were the people. The guests and staff were fun and interactive! Having a bar at the facility helps, although the sandwiches were a little average as well.

Nice hostel, clean with a relaxed vibe. Staff were very helpful and always friendly. Close to the metro so really easy to get around the city and good area for nightlife and restaurants - it felt really safe too as it was quite a trendy area. The only down side was that the rooms were a little small and in the girls bathroom only 1 out of 3 showers worked and it was freezing cold!

This hostel is all-around an excellent pick. From the breakfast and the bar to the cleanliness and the vibe, O de Casa truly meets and exceeds the mark. In addition, its location (near the busy nightlife area of Vila Madalena) is prime! I highly recommend this spot!

O de Casa its a great place to stay if you want to visit Sao Paulo. The neighborhood where it´s located has a young and cool atmosphere, its full of bars and discos that you can go and visit just by walking. It has amazing restaurants where you can eat all kinds of food and the staff its also young people that can provide you with information of places to visit. The Hostel its a small and cozy place and i think the best thing is the location, you have many things around it.

All good and we had a good time there; the staff is friendly and helpful. Just one small possible improvement: the breakfast could be served with few more things as it is fairly light right now

Really great cafe at this hostel - a great deal in good food and drinks. We stayed in a private room - which is across the street which means crossing through some traffic which wasn't a big deal. The staff really were helpful to everyone and spoke a bunch of language and know a ton about all kinds of things to do, how to get around, etc. breakfast was good, too.

I stayed In O Casa two times in a private and a dorm. It was perfect. It's a great location, and the staff was amazing, they really took their time , ( I mean almost 45 min ) to give us all the details about activities around sao paulo and all recommendations we need. I recommend the place definitely.

Nice staff and atmosphere, the bat also serves delicious sandwiches and drinks for half the price for guests. Recommended!

I stayed twice at Ô and loved it. Top location in trendy Via Madalena neighborhood. Staff - Camila, Maria, Sinca (ok, I totally misspelled that name), Juliana, Valerio, Eric, etc. - is awesome and always helpful. Aaaaand: By far the best (included) breakfast I had in the last six months (sandwich, fresh fruits, cake/brownies, hot tea, iced tea, coffee). Try the hot Brie sandwich at the bar for lunch. Its half the price for guests and delicious! All said. Would always go back.
