Extremely professional place with great facities and security. The staff are very helpful and responsive. There is a lively bar and restaurant which can cause trouble sleeping if you are making it an early night, especially if you are given a room on that side of the building. This is the base to tour Cape Town for a week.

The rooms were very small. The bathroom was not clean, there were cockroaches in it. The cleaning staff went through my things and they even threw something away without asking. That is something, what is just not acceptable! The kitchen was dirrty and much to small for such a big hostel. The location is amazing, but I have the impression, that this is taken as an excuse for the "not so working" residual of the hostel.

Amazing Atmosphere and an excellent partnership with Yours Truly for great food and drinks. The rooftop bar with live music is awesome. Only thing stopping it being the perfect hostel for young people is the beds are quite close together meaning it gets quite hot at night and the fan isn't a sufficient cooling system. I don't know how bearable it would be during the summer months. Stayed here for our last three nights in Cape town and we all wish we had stayed there for our full trip.

Room was clean and secure. Our bedroom door did not close fully unless we locked it. The WiFi is weak in the rooms and is best in the lobby. The restaurant/bar is always loud and crowded during the day, but closes around midnight. Staff are friendly but sometimes unprofessional. Airport pickup was convenient, but the price was not given upfront (we were charged after arriving at the hostel).

Everything was perfect, except for the fact that the plugs in the room didn't work and the wi-fi is really not reliable. The atmosphere is great, free breakfast is perfect, staff is friendly and helpful, and the music playing in the bar area/beer garden is awesome.

Great Hostel! Luis took us up to Lion's Head for sunset, beautiful hike, hosted by a very nice guy. Rooms are comfortable, beds are close to each other so better make friends with the person next to you. Bathroom in the room, very clean. They have a great breakfast included! And a wonderful bar just at the hostel, visited by locals as well. Great atmosphere. Will be back!

No doubt about it, best backpackers to stay at in Capetown.... Friendly staff, great location and a great vibe at the front and back bars.

Large exemplary standard hostel with excellent vibe. I stayed in basic dorms, but there are at budget hotel standard rooms available as well. Generous breakfast options, bar/cafe always full due to size and popularity with locals. This hostel does suit couples and groups better than independant travellers. I would suggest events organised to break social barriers a bit. Staying in different rooms, some difficult to shower as the latches for showerhead were hopeless - so virtually had a bath.

Amazing hostel overall. Only thing I didn't like was that their bar was open to the public and most people hung out there were the locals in their own groups (the Cape Town hipsters) so it was hard to tell who were travelers and who were locals so it was hard to meet people. I also stayed in the 4-mixed room that was isolated from the rest of the hostel so another reason I didn't meet many people. Again, awesome overall on everything else. The breakfast was fantastic!
