We loved our stay at the Oak 112. The place was clean and safe and we loved the neighborhood! The staff were very sociable and directed us to wherever we wanted to go. The free breakfast is also a great bonus. We will definitely be going back!

The room was much roomier than anticipated. The beds were comfortable and the private bathroom was great. The location was perfect; a great neighborhood to just explore a little. My only complaint was the noise level at 7:00 AM. A boisterous group of individuals was having breakfast then and got very loud, waking us up. I would have thought that would be regulated better. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay very much and will recommend Oak 112 to people. Thanks.

Quaint, basic, & with lots of perks! A great location, near public transit, in a good neighborhood. Lots of stuff is easily accessible from this location. The staff here is welcoming & very helpful/accommodating. Nice sheets too! Beds were surprisingly comfy! Only drawback was there was kind of a funky smell in the building, which I assume is why there were fragrance plug-ins all over the place - I attribute this to the fact that it's an old, restored building. Crack a window & you're good.

Couldn't recommend this hostel more, excellent location, breakfast (that was available all day) was fantastic and staff couldn't be more helpful.

Great little hostel, the guys down the front were good to chat to and fairly helpful, they dont offer any activites but if you know what your doing youll be fine. Free breakfast was great, a 4 person bunk room was great for 2 people but if it had 4 people we would of had no where to put our bags. Suggested some better signage out the front. Also check out butch mcguires for a good drink ;)

one of the best hostels i've been to, the bathrooms are great! pillows are soft, there is a cool place to hang out near the lobby and breakfast is included.

Great free breakfast, nice private rooms. The bathrooms were clean, although it could be difficult to gain access, as there was only one shower on our floor. The staff was friendly, helpful – excellent! And the location can't be beat – so close to the L and walking distance from lots of destinations, including the Magnificent Mile. Thanks for a great stay!

Literally about 3 blocks from the Mag. Mile, excellent location. Somewhat difficult to find, look for a bright green door. The staff was very friendly and kind. Everything seemed very clean and smelled good. I stayed in the girls dorm which is on the top floor, up 3 flights of stairs so if stairs are a problem for you - that may be an issue. The girls dorm has 6 beds with lockers that can be locked and one bathroom. The night I stayed there were 5 other girls, all pleasant, considerate etc.

This hostel was great and the staff lovely, I only had one issue and that was that one of the girls I shared the dorm with snored really loudly but that can't be helped. I would recommend this hostel to anyone traveling to Chicago :)

Fantastic hostel in the perfect location, walking distance to all of the major attractions and public transport. Bars, restaurants and grocery store all near by. Free parking will save you $30+ a night alone. Rooms, bathrooms and common areas were all clean. Free breakfast was an added bonus. Staff members Ian and Jake were great, both were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back in the future!

I would stay here again. Thanks for a great stay. I came in late Saturday night, as my flight was delayed, and called Oak. The gentleman who answered was kind enough to leave my key and towel at the front, and make it possible for me to get into the hostel late. Thanks so much!

Oak 112 was the perfect hostel for our time in Chicago. It is in a great location, a short walk to bus stops and to Michigan avenue and many restaurants. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and helpful with directions! The facility was clean and felt very safe. I can't say enough good things about this hostel, I highly recommend Oak 112!
