Very nice hostel! Clean and well laid out. A little out of the way but very easy via trains. Also- location was great because it was not in the heart of downtown. A little more quiet and very easy to get too. The staff was very nice and helpful. Would definitely stay here again!

If you're looking for a hostel in which you can connect with people this is the wrong place. If you're looking for just a place where to spend a night - it's great. Easy going, they mind your luggage even after check out. Facilities are good, clean hostel. But don't expect more.

Delightful hostel. Neat, clean, organised. Wifi was great; accessible everywhere. Great Air Conditioning. The one flaw: the hot water takes a long time to adjust to get your shower just right. On the Yamanote Train Line; ideal for getting around Tokyo.

Small, but very pretty rooms and great to arrive in as the first hostel in Japan. It's close to Uguisudani station and easy to find. The beds were very good and the rooms were clean. A lot of things were provided: towels (big and small), hair dryer, yukata, toothbrushes, body soap/conditioner/shampoo, etc. If there's a problem with the rooms, tell the staff and they will solve it the same day. The staff was very helpful. They can also give you directions to nice restaurants or other locations.

This is closer to a hotel in character and service than a hostel. Very well run, clean and nice. Good communications with the subway station close by.

Wonderful place to stay on a budget! Safe, clean, welcoming. An absolute pleasure.

The building is quite new and clean, staff were friendly and nice. I stayed in a single dormitory, in the beginning of July. The beds were all occupied but it was very quiet. Shower rooms were clean and tidy. It would be more convenient if they had a few more toilets. The building is tucked in a small residential area but there is a convenience store nearby and it is close to a train station. Good place to get around in Tokyo.

Excellent friendly staff and very comfortable bed. Everyone gets their own bed instead of the typical double top/down bunk beds. The atmosphere is more like college dormitory without excessive socialization. Most people there are quiet and slept by 11pm---which is great if you are looking for a good night of sleep instead of drunken people coming into the room at 4am, which is typical in most Tokyo hostels.

I absolutely loved staying here. It was very clean and the staff was really nice. I enjoyed the location the most as it's right by Ueno park and a few minutes walk from the train station.

Good location on Jr line close to most things for Jr pass holders. Good beds but showers average. Had some good activities

Very nice staff, clean and spacious building. Facilities were good. Internet was a bit buggy (given the complicated login and a restriction on devices), but that wasn't that big of a problem. The location is nice: a JR station very close and an easy walk to Ueno park. Only problem: We booked a standard double room, but it had a semi-double bed. But otherwise the room was roomy for Asian standards, regularly cleaned and above expectations. More like a hotel than a hostel.

I was surprised because this looks more like a hotel. It's very new, with big bedrooms, huge beds, very clean toilets and showers.... The common kitchen and area to eat is also big with lots of lights. Staff is very nice and helpful (ask for a scale if you think you bought too many things!!) and it's really close to JR metro station Uguisudani. It is a great location, close to Ueno and Asakusa, with a convenience store right in the corner of the street and lots of restaurants around.

I initially stayed in 16 dorm female dorm which had an unpleasant musky/damp smell and the dark, drab interior that made me uncomfortable so I transferred to a private room which turned out to be a fantastic decision. The best was so soft and comfortable and I felt so much more at ease. The staff here are really lovely and were very thorough with any query I had. I personally didn't like the dorms here but would definitely recommend the private rooms! Also very close to the subway.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hostel! The place is brand new (it opened in may 2014) and all the facilities are really nice. I stayed in the 10 beds female dorm for 4 days and it was easy to start talking to other girls and to hang out together. I totally recommend this guesthouse.

Great, fun and helpful staff, great location, clean and new environment ! The hostel very new and clean. All staffs have been very helpful in showing me directions to diff places. Hostel is located very close to JR and metro stations. It has many cafes, restaurants and convenience staffs nearby. Further, if you walk outside to Main Street, the sky tree tower is right ahead! Definitely would recommend my friends to come here and myself in coming back to stay again! A+ grading for me!

It is a good place to stay, just 5 mins walk from metro, nice staff, the common area is good, tv and computer provided, will be here again

Lovely staff! Extremely friendly and helpful. I loved this part of Osaka, it has a really nice feel about it - very relaxed, particularly compared to Tokyo. I didn't take any of the group activities/tours offered which I now think may have been a mistake as everyone who went seemed to really enjoy them. Clean facilities also. All round a great place to stay :)

Very clean and well-kept, especially the toilets and bathrooms. Beds were large and comfortable. Staff were really friendly too. Only complaint is that the walls were too thin, and we could hear the loud talking of another group in the private rooms late into the night, even though we were in the dorm.
