Oban Backpackers Plus Reviews

I have greatly enjoyed my stay in Oban Backpackers for several reasons. It was clean, safe and had an excellent location. I originally booked a bed in a shared dorm but because it was a quiet time, they gave me a single room which had a TV,sink and there also was wifi in the house. Showers were new and worked perfectly, and so did the heatinf system, kitchen was spacious and well equipped. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone and would also return.

This is a very lovely hostel with warm welcome and plenty of facilities. The location is good, with no difficulty to get there on foot. As well it is clean and tidy.

The computers could only be used until 21:30 as I was staying in Backpackers Plus and the computers were staying in Backpackers. Additionally my room was not heated when I arrived at 20:30, so it took some hours to get warm. The two guys that gave me the key didn't have a clue how much I had to pay ... very informed ;) What was very friendly is, that I had to cancel one night and they didn't charge me anything for that!

Very cute rooms - love the named bunk beds! Great to have tea and coffee in the common room, plus guitar, pool table and magazines/games. A friendly atmosphere! Improvements: could have proper sanitary disposal bins in female toilets. Also not having music playing in the common room all day - would be nice to have some quiet occasionally.

Oban was my Dads favorite place so being scottish it was his dieing wish to have his ashes scatterd there, so in aug 2010 myself me stepmum and 4 children took a trp from Blackpool up to Oban to lay my dear Dad to rest on scottish soil ,we thought it would be fun to camp........not such a good idea for my stepmum:-(( So on planning our trip for 2011 we thought we would try the backpackers hostel.....good decision:-)) great time had by all recomend it to anyone. will look forward to returning .

You got to meet lots of people also travelling , there was a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and overall it was great value for money :)

Brilliant, the first one I've been to, definitely not the last!

Great place and great people! wee booked a dormitory but they were overbooked so they moved us in a twin bedroom with no extra fee! The reception team are great, a lot of suggestions for the visiting and the pubs! goob job keep on it!
