The staff here are very desperate, and often do things that don't make sense, like blocking people from using the kitchen to cook because they say that it will make the kitchen too cold. I think the extractor fan works fine in the kitchen and the gas is fine. The hostel's continental breakfast is grossly overpriced - nearly 7 US dollars for toast, dry cereal, and one piece of either cold meat or cold cheese. For this price you could get a week's worth of bread, meat, and tea.
