Ocean Inn Rio Leblon Reviews

Staff was really nice and the breakfast was good, and the place was almost empty when I stayed there. Place is pretty clean. Location on the other hand is quite poor, at least 20mins walk from leblon beach and all the shops etc. Theres a nice little beach next to the hostel though. Also didnt feel quite comfortable walking from ipanema back to the hostel or leaving the hostel even in the daytime because there were quite suspicious people near the hostel. luckily there's buses going until late.

Everything about the place was disapointing, from location to cleanliness. Only good thing is the view on the sea, but for me that is not enough to enjoy the stay. I wouldn't book this place ever again, even though I slept in many other cheap places, this one is bad. I also stayed 3 nights in Leme and that was much more central, close to the beach and even cheaper.

Had a great stay, staff were lovely very helpful rooms very clean, felt safe, view of beach amazing, easy access for transportation to copacabana beach I'd recommend

Good atmosphere from Bruno and very helpful mother. Nice breakfast, good location ( due to offsite access to local ATM and mini supermarket and quiet beach as opposed to ipanema/copa beaches ). A bike hire facility here would appeal here if only one was available. Hint hint..and a notice board with things to do, places to see, moving on places, and especially traveller comments, in a lot more depth would make this place a lot more 'traveller' type of hostel, just a thought. Upstairs bar ?

A pretty good hostel quite close to Leblon beach with nice view on the sea. The main problem of this place is that there's not much space in dorms and lockers are in a common area. The kitchen was also very small. Still, a good place for a weekend stay, if you want to be in Rio for a longer time, go somewhere else.

So called breakfast is poor, a bag of toast, a small box of cheese slice roll, a glass bottle if biscuit, a thermos ( coffee),the form of it makes you think they belong to a guest who left them. Staffs are with very limited (or none) English, a bit insensitive, yet with friendly face.
