Staff is in general bad or extremely bad although I can think of at least two good exceptions.one key per dorm gives an impression of bad security. The room smelled badly and in fact I found two beds bugs in my bed the first night, killed them after getting 4 bites. They ask for passport to get the key for the kitchen . Annoying and illogical. I'm happy I checked out earlier although I lost 50% that i alrwady paid for the last two nights. There are much better hostels in Berlin for the same price
Nice hostel but nothing special. The facilities are pretty good, and beds were comfy. The kitchen would have been excellent except you had to hand in your ID to get a key to turn on each power plug, which made it a drama for simple things like making a cup of tea. Overall i have no major complaints, but for a first time traveller to Berlin it didnt really have anything going to help you enjoy the city. If you already know Berlin then this place is probably perfect for you.
Nice hostel! You can get around Berlin easily via public transportation. The bathrooms are clean and there is a communal kitchen. When you go to this hostel, you are in a good neighborhood to start and explore Berlin.

staff is kind and extremely helpful. The lounge set up fantastic. It definitely encourages guests to meet and hangout. The bedrooms were the perfect size and the lockers were great! Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hostel due to the serious mold issue in ladies bathroom on the third floor. Th staff smoking directly outside the lounge and leaving the door wide open to allow smoke and cold air in was an on going battle as well. The free breakfast advertised was false.

The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. Ignored us standing at check in right in front of them and then just gave us a room number without saying anything else. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Room was very cold. Didn't explain only one key per room, last one should take it back to reception. This means the room is unlocked the majority of the time and you can't tell who is meant to be in the room or not. Was also not asked for any sort of pass on entering so anyone can come and go.
Definitely the best hostel in Berlin, and one of the best in the world.
Great hostel!! I really enjoied the breakfast for only 3€! We had a great stay and will definitely come again :)
Great hostel with comfortable beds. The only downside was the showers, it's quite awkward with just a curtain and no cubicle to change in. The only other let down was other hostel stayers not being considerate of others at the very early hours, coming back to the rooms very loud and drunk. The breakfast is very good value for 3 euro also. I would recommend but would probably look elsewhere next time in Berlin all because of the bathroom situation.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Excellent location with walking distant to all major sights. Very nice view from the 16 bed dormitory over the Bosphorus.
Loved this place. Great prices at the bar and awesome kitchen facilities.
Very clean, good security, not a very youthful atmosphere, they seem to have a lot of trouble with their wifi but maybe that's just bad luck.
Great hostel, very good location, the 22 bed room is the best and really cheap! Free good breakfast after third night and very big kitchen!
There is one key per room, last to leave the room locks the door. Its not bad, you dont have to sorry about losing a key. Common room is good, has a pool table and good atmosphere.
Great location and atmosphere. Really nice staff. Can be cleaner, specially the bathrooms
If wasnt for the bed bugs it will be a good hostel.
One key for each room which was frustrating. Some staff were helpful. Had to give ID to get the key for the kitchen which was also frustrating for every time you wanted to make a cup off tea or use the microwave. Over all good stay though
First hostel I've stayed in where you must pay a 3 euro deposit for sheets. Also found it really strange and very annoying that there is only one key for an entire dorm. This meant that the door was never locked or if it was locked others had to be woken to get into the room. Staff were a bit weird too. Pretty clean and good location but wouldn't stay here again.
Great location, great common area and breakfast - this was a really cool hostel. The one key per room system was a bit annoying though, and I found the staff to be a bit hit-and-miss. Overall I loved it though, I'd definitely recommend/stay here again.
Great place with awesome staff. The 3 euro breakfast is a good price considering what you get for 3 euros in a restaurant. Would love to come and stayour again.
