Pros: Great vibe. Hostel staff were super nice. Amazing breakfast for 3 euros. Cons: Internet was a bit spotty, especially in the rooms.
A nice place to stay, near the metro but a little far from the center. A good chance to meat many people.
Loved this hostel. Great vibe, lots of interesting people to meet. Nice facilities and pretty central. One of my favourites so far.

cool hostel, close to the metro-station (Frankfurter Tor). Nice people, stylish. Unfortunately no W-Lan in the rooms; but this is really the only "bad" thing... .
Some of the staff need to find a new job because they are very demeaning. Ask a question, get a smart ass response and a huff and puff. There were exceptions of cause, some great people working there who were friendly and helpful. The key system is a little different but for the most part it works. Can't fault the cleanliness although a blocked sink took 3 days to fix. A big plus is the light and PowerPoint for each bed. Should be standard in all hostels! Location was great.
Really good hostel. Great location in a really interesting area and really close to the best clubs and bars in Berlin. Friendly and helpful staff. Clean. Having 1 key per room is a bit annoying. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Really nice hostel, very close to the metro! Good atmosphere to relax and beer for 2 euros! Really recommended!
Overall had a good stay, was clean, staff were friendly and easy to find. Although would not recommend for a solo traveller, there was absolutely no atmosphere it felt as though no one was staying in the hostel. Compared to other hostels it is a bit pricey.
The hostel is located in Friedrichshain, a very nice district that is more alternative. Very near great places to go out, and good food. The staff were cold and snob. Not a lot of atmosphere. Also you have to leave the key to the desk each time you go out, one key per room. The breakfast was good and worth the price.
This hostel is a brilliant place to stay, lovely staff, clean rooms and bathrooms, laundry and cooking facilities, really good atmosphere and located in a really cool part of Berlin. We really enjoyed our stay here!
Very good facilities, staff, and cleanliness. Good Location near to the clubs and in a cool part of Berlin with easy access to public transport to go to the sites which the staff will direct you towards.
The breakfast is good value for what you get. Nothing out of the ordinary, but just good and simple. The coffee actually tasted like coffee, which from experience is something that happens very rarely in hostel breakfasts. The service was good, we borrowed towels (we had forgotten ours at home) free of charge, just had to pay a deposit.
Very good hostel, very clean rooms in a nice local area in Berlin, Good bathrooms, £0.70 beers during happy hour, go for this hostel!!! one thing I would say is from the train station defined catch the U Bahn, walking takes 2 and a half hours but don't let that put u off, most hostels in Berlin are out of the centre for this price and if your an interrail traveller you can catch the train into the centre easily for free anyway

Visually a nice place, clean dorms and Decent single beds with average facilities (even if they are all expensive) . The only thing that this place lacked is atmosphere! Not really a backpackers place. More like a low grade hotel. There was a school group running around all night. Which was annoying.
MINUSES:if you want to hang out with adult travelers, forget it since hostel is a popular place for school groups (around 15 years old, 70% of the guests?). Many additional charges (city tax 5%, payment with any card 3%, towel),one key/room policy not handy. PLUS: Awesome breakfast for 3€! Location ok. TOTAL: Definitely will not stay there again.Funny part:this place creates itself as underground, super alternative, not mainstream Berlin pearl.Reality: yyy? Kids?Very disappointing.
One of the nicest hostel I have ever stayed! The neighboorhood is really cool and super well located to the metro station, not so near to the center of the city but it is to The East Side Galery :) There is no elevator, so just keep in mind that :)
The majority of the staff we dealt with were very unhelpful and quite rude. The bald guy in the flat hat especially. He should not be working in a customer-facing role, he doesn't seem to like people. The hostel was great though, I've been there several times, the location, facilities and value are great. It's a shame the atmosphere was dampened by miserable working staff.
Weird set up with door keys. There are only 1 set of keys for each dorm. Anytime you leave you must return your key to the front desk. Annoying to have to keep collecting if the front desk is busy. Also need to leave your passport at the front desk in order to use the key that turns on the electricity in the kitchen. Very odd. Good apart from these two odd things.
The room I was in was quite dark and as a solo traveller I found it difficult to meet others. However, the facilities were very good and the kitchen one of the nicest guest kitchens I have seen. The location is a bit far from some main sites but an underground station is on my down the road and there is some night life near by. Staff were very helpful and everything was clean enough.
