Just weird that there's only one key for the whole room and not a key per person. It can be inconvenient.
Excellent location- within walking distance of both the metro system and the clubs/party area of Warschauer Straße and Revaler Straße- not to mention Berghain. The rooms were clean and the staff was rather friendly. The kitchen is large and has a nice, long table that allows people to socialize at the same time. It was a bit frustrating that the kitchen closed at 22:00 (even though it's understandable, consider closing at 23:00 instead). Having a bar is a definite plus. I'd recommend to others
Really rude staff, ruined an otherwise really clean, nice hostel. Shame, ended up going to another hostel to party.
Pretty cool hostel that is good value for money. The 22 bed dorm room is really well set out. Probably the best set out dorm room I've ever stayed in.
Nice hostel, great location, nice dorms, but some of the staff we're a bit frosty.
Very clean and well located hostel. Staff was helpful. The design of it was cool and it overall was well worth the price.
Staff were not that interactive. Location of the hostel is not so convenient. Place lacks life. I was expecting it to be more happening.
The hostel is located in a perfect neighborhood for seeing the city, getting good food, and is walking distance to all the worthwhile clubs. The staff were fine, and helpful whenever I had a question. The common room was a great place to meet people, and there's even an outdoor smoking room. The rooms themselves were clean and spacious enough, with lots of storage room. Next time I'm in Berlin I'll stay here for sure.
The staff is friendly, helpful, and fun. It's a great place to meet people if you're travelling alone, but it's also big enough that it's fine to come as a group. The hostel is close to so many cool places in Berlin and it has SO MUCH CHARACTER. I'll definitely be back.
Very nice hostel with good facilities and friendly staff. The bar and common rooms were very quiet during our stay but maybe it's the time of year. The system with the room keys is a little annoying but no big deal. Enjoyed my time here, would happily stay again
POSITIVE + decent location in southern Friedrichshain, quiet backyard + nice bar/breakfast/common area + good breakfast for 3 euro NEGATIVE + no major complaints really - the bathrooms/showers aren't exactly great though
I stay here every time I am in Berlin. Located in a nice area with many bars, restaurants, and close to public transport. Easy to meet other guests in the bar or common room. One downside is when school groups arrive and ruin the atmosphere. However, the staff are quick to respond and speak with the Group leaders if there are problems. I would definitely reccomend this hostel.
We were in a two bed room. Two women! A mirror in the room would be nice ;-).

I stayed in the 22 bed dorm. It was OK except the lockers under the bed and the door into the dorm make the loudest noise. Every time anyone came or left or opened their locker it woke everyone up. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper so it takes a lot to wake me. Other than that it was great. One of the guys at reception gave me advice on where to head after Berlin.
I absolutely loved my stay here. I met so many awesome people, the common area was perfect for chatting and hanging out with other people. I would highly recommend staying here, especially if you are into Berlin nightlife - really good proximity to lots of clubs (Berghain is a five minute walk!). The bathrooms were spotless and the rooms were quite comfortable and clean as well. Thanks guys for the awesome stay!
I had a great time at the Odyssee, the place had good security and was really clean, organised and well-run. It's got a good vibe because of the way the common rooms are laid out, and the kitchen is really big and a pleasure to use. The location was pretty good too

It was one of my worst hostel experience. it was very cold in berlin when I was there last week... can be as cold as below 0 at night. but there was no heater and the bedding quilt was VERY thin and small. you cannot even cover yourself with it... also the stuff in the hostel was not so friendly and thoughtful for the guests. they pretended to be cool and did not care about guests at all...
During my stay in late September, entire hostel was full with German school groups for some reason… teenagers literally running amok in the hostel, wasn't so pleasant. Hostel is basically too big, so atmosphere isn't great. Facilities are all fine though and location is great, very easy to get to via metro. The huge dorm is surprisingly well laid out and needn't be avoided if budget conscious.
Really enjoyed our stay here. It's a great clean hostel and we stayed in the 22 bed which was actually really comfortable and not cramped at all. It has screens that separate each set of bunks so its really private. The only inconvenient thing was that we had to climb 4 flights of stairs to get to the room. There is also only Internet in the reception area. The staff were also not really helpful or friendly at all which is pretty much the only bad thing I can say.
Had a wicked stay here, we even extended it by two days because Berlin was so much better than we had expected! Stayed in the 22 bed dorm and it was lovely, clean, felt private. Apart from a few annoying room mates we had a really good stay! Enjoy :)
