Friendly staff, varying English fluency. Good location near Miebashi monorail station, walking distance to restaurants and bars, ferry terminal, Kokusai Dōri. A number of long-term residents seemed to mostly keep to themselves. Bunks were wooden capsules with thin partitions (sound and light traveled between capsules). Shared facilities kept fairly clean.

I wasn't expecting much at the price of Kerama, especially after staying at Shell House off of Kokusai Doori, but I was very pleasantly surprised. The common room is generally well-kept, open, and has an atmosphere that makes it easy to meet other people. The entire place, with the exception--though not to a terrible extent--of the bathroom for the girls dormitory, is also quite clean. With much hostel experience, cleanliness has become my #1 priority--and I would definitely stay here again!

It's definitely a nice place for that price, the security is a little bit bad and the cleanliness of the whole stuff is okay. Unlike some other commenters I think the beds are fine, you just need to be used to sleep on a futon on tatami mats - most westeners probably expect a real bed, which is not at all common in Japan. Thank you for a nice time.

Found the hostel to be rather dirty, unorganized and many people living there as opposed to traveling and visiting. Since some people were living there for 10 months, there were many belongings and a messy enviorment. Also, the bed was rock hard.

First, I like KERAMA's staff. They were so kind and nice. The kitchen was very big and clean. And there is very close to 'kokusai dori' and the station. Also I can use WIFI in the room. So it was very convenient. When I come to Okinawa, I want to go the guest house KERAMA once again :-)

The location is excellent, near a Monorail station and a port. But the beds are rock hard so it`s hard to get a good night sleep. Some of staff is nice but others seem sort of ambivalent to the guests.

Pro Tip: Dont stay here. EVER. Dirty, hot, cramped rooms, poor layout, grumpy staff, you walk past three strip clubs to get here. The reason I picked this hostel was for the wi-fi and even that was schetchy at best.
