I was in Old City Hostel with a friend and It was an amazing time is Istanbul! They were always able to help us, suggest venues to visit and have a chat. The hostel is just 5 minutes walking from Blue Mosque and Aya Sofia, Gran Bazar is 10 minutes by walk. There are plenty of good value restaurants. The owner of the hostel did everything easier for us.

Best location in Istanbul, close to all the sights and only a short and easy 10 minute tram ride away from the new city with all the cool bars. Staff were great, very useful with all our needs and gave us great advice with even trips outside of Istanbul! Small hostel but very homely, security could not have been better! Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to experience the hustle and bustle of one of the greatest cities in Europe!

great place, but was over being hassled by the surrounding resturants

Very helpful staff, great terrace with of view of the Blue Mosque, adn excellent location. I stayed in the all girls dorm and was lucky enough to have it all to myself.

Beds were very uncomfortable

This was a good hostel. It was quiet when we were there given security concerns around istanbul but i would recommended nonetheless. It had a rooftop common area and bar which had awesome views and the rooms and bathrooms were big and clean. Breakfast was also provided which was handy enough. The staff were quite unhelpful and didnt really offer anything at all and were almost annoying. Would still recommended anyway because of location and rooftop common area/bar

. Was in a great location to see all the attractions, a tram line right outside the hostel. Although being on the main tourist strip be careful not to eat there as it is really expensive. The blue mosque is visible from the terrace which is really lovely. Although the rooms were extremely hot and uncomfortable at night when the air con wasn't turned on. So make sure you get them to turn it on every night. Staff were great although had some Language Barriers when checking out

Really nice hostel, I thought the staff were friendly and helpful. Also, I met some nice people in my room and we had some good conversations together.

The owner, Rifat, is always available to help in any way. Great location and close to the Hagia Sophia and the Grand Bazaar. It can be noisy due to all the restaurants and busy activities of the area and people coming in and out of the room. Normal hostel life! Bring ear plugs. Upstairs has a great view of the Blue Mosque. Be sure to step out onto the terrace. I watched many sunsets over the Blue Mosque here!
