Good hostel to stay, well run, central location. Owners need to give a definite description of how to get from the bus or train station to the hostel. Visitors need an accurate description, still a good place to stay.
Suzana is amazing and this hostel made me feel at home after 2 weeks backpacking in PORTUGAL. I arived very early and Suzana just gave me the sheets and let me go in my room. The atmosphere of this hostel is excellent makes everyon feel like home. The owner is rally nice. you can see that they really love what they are doing.
This hostel has only been opened for a short time and it tells. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and spacious, the kitchen is well fitted out and the dinning/chill out area is clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and will answer any questions you have and give you directions. The rooms do not have keys however you have access to a locker and you need a code to get in the front door.
Beautiful building, very shabby chic. The bathrooms are very nice. I appreciated the little touches, like the hairdryers. The owner is very sweet. Greatly located, close to the bus station. Very quiet hostel.
I think this is one of the best hostels in Evora, though we stayed only one night. Very good location, great facilities, and top staff: Pedro is really a great host, with insider tips and hospitality.
Nice hostel and really nice and helpful staff. I strongly recommend it.
Wifi a bit finicky but everything else PERFECT. Directions from the bus station could be a little clearer (should say what exit to come out at- I went the wrong exit and it took me 30 mins). Staff lovely. Fully equipped kitchen. Beautiful tiled interior. Super close to everything. Ten mins walk to the bus station and big supermarket. Family run place, super relaxed really chill. Cute little terrace to watch the sunset. Very close to the park with the peacocks and wall if you like to jog/walk.
Lots of great things about this hostel. Some things to consider: Recycling facilities. Improving wi-fi - It worked poorly in the kitchen, which is the only communal area which is open at night. Maybe make a computer available for guests to use (maybe even for a fee.) Overall a great place to stay for a few days in a nice town :)
Had a lovely stay here. It's a family run hostel with Pedro and his parents. The place is right next to the main road in the east west direction so staying in the 6 person room could be a little noisy, but it's not too bad. The breakfast is great with good bread, cheese, and bologne, juices, coffee, and tea. This was a very relaxing place to stay and doing a little bit of laundry is completely possible. Lockers are big enough for all your locking needs.
We enjoyed our stay at Old Evora hostel. It's a pretty small but hospitable hostel. Pedro helped us find and book a place in our next destination when we were having trouble finding a place to stay, which was very helpful!! His knowledge of everything Evora and around is impressive!
The hostel is nice, very near the main square. The staff was really nice and understanding. Good wi-fi.
Nothing special but a good hostel over all. Friendly, clean, ... good!
Pedro was extremely kind- very helpful in suggestions for what to do and see and very hospitable. Highly recommended place!!
Excellent small hostel with a most kind, warm and helpful host you can imagine! Great location and easy to get to from the bus station. Oranges for breakfast was a great extra! Do go!
We really enjoyed our stay at Old Evora. Pedro is an exceptionally warm and kind-hearted person who did everything in his power to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. He was full of information about how best to see Evora and its surroundings, presenting us with many attractive options. The hostel is located steps from the main square and serves a lovely breakfast in the morning. It is clean and offers great value for money. I would not hesitate in recommending Old Evora to anyone.
This was the cleanest hostel we stayed in Portugal. Pedro, the owner, could not have been nicer. Localisation was perfect. The only minor complaint is that the rooms do not have a key, but they do have a locker.
Had a great stay for two nights. Convenient location. The host was helpful and friendly. I would recommend to people of all ages.
