PLASTIC MATTRESSES for sure was e worst thing. expensive.... But i guess thats dubrovnik generally. Breakfast is really just one kind of cereal. When I checked in they just said 'here's your key, room 2' or whatever but didn't show where anything was or offer any info about the city like most do. Also there was some loud hammering outside the dorm at 7am, and it only went on for about two minutes so I think it could have waited! The place is generally nice and safe and in a perfect location.

Fantastic location right in the heart of the old town. Good sized rooms very clean and secure with individual lockers. Great staff, very helpfull. Location in the old town means there is some noise later in the evening but nothing too much. Kitchen facilities and free on demand breakfast were great. Definitely recommend this place.

Mike, the owner, is extremely kind, helpful, and very accommodating. The crowd was laid-back and polite, too, not too noisy (yet I was there during the late spring, when the real craze had not started yet). We never ran out of juice, milk, coffee and cereal which are for free. The hostel itself is perfectly located. It's sparsely furnished, but everything is new and nice and well-maintained. The kitchen and common area might end up a bit small when the hostel is crowded.

This hostel is right near the Franciscan monastery in the old town. The rooms were large and comfortable, there are lockers for your belongings, and a bathroom for each floor.

There is no sign of an entrance. Many persons were able to ask and it was able to arrive at last. It is at the center of a town and is convenient. The elder brother of a hotel is very kind in FRIENDLY. Although a little bunk bed is instability, it is comparatively quiet and easy to sleep.

Guy who OWNS the hostel is great. He is originally from NY and gave it up to come to Croatia and OWN the hostel. Because he OWNS it, he is particular about its operation. He is there a lot, which is nice, and is helpful with directions. The location is perfect and NO steps (with those of use with luggage). minor breakfast and available computers. Bathrooms nice. A bit noisy outside because it truly is at the heart of the action, but that is the price to pay. Should have free ear plugs.

They have lockers in the rooms to lock items in, although I would suggest locks on the doors would be helpful. The desk is either staffed or locked afterhours, so not the biggest of issues. Location in the old town is great, just a few steps off the Stradun and from Pile Gate where the public transit largely stops. Highly recommend it!

There's one small bathroom per floor for a lot of people, but kept clean and stocked with toilet paper and soap. You can hear the noise on the streets night and day...including partiers out late at night and street cleaners in the early morning. You just can't beat the location-down a block and right around the corner from the Pile Gate, right next to a bunch of restaurants. Free Breakfast really is all day and just some Musli and juice. Lockers in rooms (bring own lock), but no locks on doors.

The location is the reason why youd want to stay- right inside the old town gate. The hostel was nice, nothing special aside from the location. The only negatives were the walls were paper thin between rooms and the beds were like sleeping on the floor. But if you want to be in the old town, this would be a great base.

A great hostel in an old building right in the Old Town, can't ask for a better location. Mike the owner, is friendly and is willing to help you out. My only complaint is that the rooms are not locked, which made me feel a little uneasy.
