The staff were friendly and really, really helpful - providing maps, suggestions and answering all of my questions. The hostel is in a great location and was one of the cleanest hostels I\'ve ever stayed in. The mattresses were super comfy and the beds had proper duvets. I only had a short stay in Budapest but loved every minute of it and would definitely stay here again.

Oleander Hostel is in a perfect location. I was able to walk to the best restaurants, sights, and nightlife areas. The staff is very friendly and hospitable. He was ready for any questions I had and was able to point me in the right direction whenever I needed help. Security is a big plus in this place since you get your own keys and it has two doors to keep strangers out and customers protected. Place was quiet and clean, good experience overall. Thanks for a great stay and I\'ll see you again!

Great hostel, very secure and clean. The staff is going out of their way to help you in anything you want. We were a group and got keys for the room and lockers if needed. There is plenty of bars and clubs in walking distance and a 24 hours grocery just around the corner. Location is fantastic. The beds are quite comfortable. I highly recommend this hostel.

We arrived and had to pay a deposit that we didn\'t know, 10 euros per person and we had to pay all with cash because they don\'t accept credit card. The toilet was dirty and only one shower for at least 22 persons with hot water just for the first 5 persons. And when you are about to leave the hostel and country they give back the deposit money in florins. Very poor conditions, to avoid!

Cheap and quite place to stay in Budapest. Restaurants, bars and clubs are very close to the hostel. It is also well located for a cultural visit of Budapest. Few drawbacks: Cleanliness, poor number of eating stuff, short open hour of the reception.

Well, is a big shock when you first step in, but then again all budapest was a big shock since the biggining... Either way, is one of the best places i've stayed, because you really feel like home, there's no one checking on you 24h and you feel free to relax and even to cook. :D

The staff were very friendly and helpful in giving local tips, finding public transit directions and everything. They all speak great English. The location is about 2 blocks from two of the metro lines. Great place! Free locks. Kitchen, a great great plus, fridge, also, big plus, free coffee, excellent. Keep it that way, value for money, 100%.

The hostel was extremely dirty, and allthough there were signs everywhere that everyone had to be silent after 23.00, the staff came in with a drunk group at 01.30 and started making loud explanations for 30 minutes. According to the signs it was also forbidden to drink alcohol in the building after 22.00, but the staff didn't care to much about this drunken men, all having cans of beer with them. They partied on for some hours, which means we didn't really sleep that night.

This is a great hostel and is excellent value for money. It is very clean and safe and the owner is always available personally, or by email or phone as well, and is very helpful. The location is perfect and right in the middle of all the action. I really recommend this place for all budget travelers.

Excellent hostel, I couldn\'t recommend it more highly. It\'s relatively small size and very friendly staff giving advise of the many places you could visit during your stay. The hostel has a well equipped kitchen, and is also perfectly located, with sights in both Buda and Pest being easily walkable.

The staff is great and super friendly pointing on a free map all the most important places in the city. The entrance is a little bit spooky, but then once you are inside the hostel, you easily feel like home. Very clean and comfy beds to rest after a long day sightseeing. Location is perfect and very secure...I would definitely recommend this place.

This Hostel is right in the center of Budapest. It was easy to get anywhere we wanted. The staff was friendly. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were clean and the lockers made us feel safe about leaving valuables behind while we went and explored. The best part is that there is a kitchen and fridge so you can bring or buy your own food and save money on eating out. The directions listed from the train station are perfect. There are plenty of restaurants in the area and the food is pretty inexpensive. There are

I had a very good stay in this little hostel. It's very quiet and cozy place with all the facilities you would need. The staff is very helpful showing on a free map everything you need to see in such a beautiful city. Actually, I'm back to stay for few more days. I recommend it.
