We had a great stay at this hostel. Its pros are its location and atmosphere in one of the top districts of Budapest, a VERY nice area indeed, and GREAT staff. Thank you Alex and Csila for your kind assistance with our queries, we felt almost at home!

Many thanks again to Csilla and Alejandro. Csilla told me where to get a haircut and see the doctor.

very nice hostel close to the center of budapest. i'd recommend it for sure!

No 24 hours reception and when you didn't know that they didn't you will be treated very rude when they have been waiting for you and they are over their shift. They just want your money.

I spent a great deal of time trying to find the hostel because there was very little signage and none of the people in local businesses seemed to know that the place existed. When I did arrive, the receptionist was not there, so I had to wait around for a while in a neighboring hostel until they got back. Other than that, and the slightly awkward common room atmosphere, my stay at Oleander was substantial. It's what you pay for.

get what you pay for. not enough showers, had to wait even at 4am

The 8 bed dorm was so small, beds were touching. Lockers were outside the room. It's in an ok location. There is only one shower for the whole hostel and two toilets (one in the bathroom with shower). I would not stay here again!

Expensive. Very small. There is no pleasant collective space to meet the other backpackers. One bathroom for 16 people is a nightmare.

I've stayed in a lot of hostels and this experience has been bad. It does not have a hostel vibe. It's more like a converted old apartment. So the photos really don't show what it's actually like. The worst feature is that it has only one shower for the whole hostel so it's mayhem trying to get a shower.

Photos are outdated and show a much cleaner/newer hostel. One shower and 2 toilets for the entire hostel (2 dorms of 9 beds and one private of up to 5) so always a line for the bathroom and they feel a bit grubby. Other than that, place is cheap and location is good. Met some really cool people while there so the atmosphere made it an enjoyable experience. Dorm rooms did feel crowded though and people always had their bags all over the floor so quite messy. Also don't accept credit card

Great hostel! One of the rooms is pretty small but still livable. It's a great vibe in a spectacular location! You can walk anywhere and it's right on the metro station to get to the bus station and train station! Would definitely recommend.

Nice little place, feels like we are a family in a house. Staff is friendly and place is pretty clean. Location is decent but price could be cheaper for what it is.

Municipality tax, late chack/in tax, bag tax, breathe tax..). Here you will find all kind of taxes to rob you. Not good people work here. For this price (hostel and all extra taxes) you can have much better, and with a nice boss. Chek other place.

Please be aware of an additional 2 euro per night charge which not shown in the price on the website!! This seemed underhand to me.

Small hostel which makes easy to socialise. Good wifi and nice location

Pretty fun stay. I like small hostels like this one that feel more like someone's appartment. I think I just got stuck with a boring bunch of people there at the time though. I'd recommend it.

Only one shower for everyone!!! That's my biggest complaint. Everything was amazing and it was so close to the center and to the Jewish district

Overall a good hostel with friendly atmosphere! The only negative was only two toilets and one shower for all the guests! Otherwise good service, good location, spacious rooms!

vraiment sympa comme auberge ! cest pas cher et cest super bien situé aucun transport à payer, tout ce fait à pied ! good nightLife!!
