Really lovely staff, good size rooms, comfortable beds and fantastic location !
Okay hostel, good location, very expensive and no wifi
THE BEST HOSTAL EVER!!!! They were so kind and helpful. I got robbed one night, so Rafa, Olga and Leo (the ones who has the hostal) really helped me out. Brought me to the police station, borrowed me money and made me food. They felt like your family. Apart from this the hostal had a great atmosphere, was always superclean (you could walk around without shoes inside) and the most awesome people who lived there. I would definetely go back!

Staying at this hostel was like being at home with the family. Everyone was so lovely and friendly, we didn't know each other for a long time but we had a great time together. Lei was excellent in taking everyone out for different activities each night. A relaxed place in a great location! I'll be back.
I know that San Sebastian is a very expensive city, but still charge 25 euros pp for only a bed is too much. On the other way, the staff in the hostel was very nice and receptive.
Smaller hostel. Good vibe but small common areas. Great informal tapas tour.
Great hostel! Awesome for meeting people and the organized nights out lead by Leo were fantastic - thanks Leo! There seemed to be a lot of people staying there but it's still relatively quiet and it's clean. People who complain about cold showers need to get up earlier ;) I never had an issue. If only it had of been sunny it would have been a perfect spot - oh well ya can't help the weather!
For San Sebastián travelers, this is a must stay. The staff are very helpful and lead a tapas and bar crawl on the weekends (maybe also during the week too, I'm not sure). The hostel is separated into multiple rooms with a main room for all so you get to meet fellow guests if you like. If you aren't into the party scene, it's ok, the hostel isn't located on the main bar drag so you shouldn't be kept up. The price is definitely worth what you get. Would definitely stay again!
Loved it. 2nd time we have stayed here and highly recommend it. Staff get everyone involved in the hostel and makes it easier to meet everyone! Will be going back for sure!!
Great atmosphere in the hostel - it's in basically a big flat so there's a homely, communal vibe. Easy to meet people and there's something to do each night. Rammed full of Aussies - as is most of San Sebastián. Location was decent, by the trendier beach and rooms were clean and comfortable. Only downside was the lack of hot showers
Absolutely awesome time stayingin San Sebastián made even better by staying at olga's place. Lovely people to meet. Staff made you welcome and location was pretty much perfect for anyone not on crutches (as I was). Thank you :)
Don't expect a hot shower, ever! No laundry, atmosphere is good though something on every night.
I would definately recommend olgas place to others, my friend and i stayed in the second flat in a 4 bed dorm which looked to be better than the main flat in every aspect. Staff were great Leo who is a live in employee? Likes to take everyone out for pincho nights which was a great night out. Wifi was good, dropped out a couple of times but they fixed it promptly, kitchen excellent, security was good for building and room but no lockers and no safe in our room, (others did).
Olga's Place has a good social vibe brought about largely through the shared kitchen and our hosts. I missed Rafa's famed paella, but the rest of the week we had Leo showing us the best pintxo bars and the best of the night life. In the daytime you're 100m from the beach, with a decent surf shop down the road. Opposite is a cafe with the best ice cream in the world, and a bar with a top tortilla and cafe con leche. Best week of the year for me.
One of the best hostels I had the privilege of staying at in my 3 months around Europe. Leo made my stay in San Sebastian truly memorable and I met some friends who i will keep for the rest of my life! LOVED IT :D
The hostel staff are great - leo takes everyone out (for free) around the area for basque tapas and drinks or organises something every night. The weekend paella is amazing value. Location unbeatable. Homely and genuine experience.
Olga's is bar far the best place I have stayed! It feels like you are staying in someone's house instead of a hostel, and you're treated like family as soon as you arrive. It attracts like minded travellers who make you feel welcome and it encourages you to do the same when new arrivals come through the door. You end up seeing the best bits of San Sebastian from a locals point of view. Oh, and you can see the sea from the hostel! You would be mad not to fall in love with this place.
Brilliant. Was meant to have 5 nights here to unwind before cold hard reality back in london, but i ended up opting out of a night in bilboa to stay a night extra (even though it made for a nightmare hungover journey to make bilboa airport the following day!) Leo is fantastic at showing you were to get the best food and, more importantly, drink. We had an entourage from the hostel of 20 at least every night, so even if it was quiet out we still had a heap of fun. Cracking Hostel.
Pros: The Hostel is in a great location to get to everything in San Sebastion. The Hostel also has an amazing social vibe about it where you feel welcome by all staying in the Hostel. Its the most social Hostel I have ever stayed in with something organised to do everynight if you feel upto it. If you want to party with new friends and chill at the beach the next day look no further. Cons: If you like your facilities top notch you maybe disappointed.
feels like a little family. loved it here :)
