location is good. few mins to square.

Hostel was across a dark court yard and in an apartment building which was a bit intimidating when I arrived late on my own, but in the daylight it was fine. There wasn't really any communal areas and a tiny little kitchen. But that was fine as the hostel is right near the main street so there is lots around it. The hostel is basic but clean and near all the central sites. Kiev is a beautiful city and I highly recommend going there!

The place is clean and cozy, and the staff helpful. A great downtown location. But it's EXTREMELY difficult to find - if you go to the street and house number as indicated and try the door passcode, it does not work and there is no sign of the hostel at the door. And even if you find to entrance of the right backyard, there is no sign of the hostel either. You need to trial and error to find the right house in the backyard.

This hostel was messy: the cramped dorm was occupied by a couple of people who are not travellers, but long stayers. One woman was in her 50s, glued to television and in bed by 8pm. The arrival of a group of kids with two adults from Tajikistan made things unbearable: the whole group made noise at all hour and even used the dorm to train in martial arts. Atrocious. To end, the hostel has a taxi, charging 4 times normal for airport drop-off and the staff is not allowed to call other company.

we reserved a twin private and when we arrived it wasn't available so we had to stay in a 8 bed dormitory (even if it was empty)
