One Step Independence Square Hostel Reviews

This hostel is really nice. Maybe because of it's warm and friendly atmosphere, maybe because of it's comfortable and clean rooms, but I am almost sure that I will come back to Ukraine and stay there once again!

Irina was a welcoming and helpful hostess, thanks for receiving us! The hostel is located very centrally - but can be a bit difficult to find initially, there isn't really a sign for it apart from "hostel" spraypainted in black on a wall outside. If you are coming up from Independence Square, and see an Adidas shop, you are almost there :)

I recently visited the hostel and it was a great stay. The staff Galina and Anna are very friendly, and the rooms are neat and clean.

Cleanliness is definitely not an issue here and the staff are very helpful and welcoming. The location too is incredible.

My stay here was most enjoyable. 10 mins walk from Independence Square. Couldn't be more central. Clean, tidy and great beds.

When we arrived at this hostel, the staff didnt know we where coming, even though we booked the hostel more than 1 month in advance. Apparently the private double bed room was already occupied.. They wanted to give us a dorm room with two small beds pushed together. We did not agree with that, since we paid for a private room with a big bed. They understood it and kicked out (!) the couple in 'our' room so we could have it. After 1 hour we could finally, tired from our journey, enter our room

The staff is young and dynamic. I want to thank Galina for providing information and assisiting on anything I needed. The location can't be beaten, you are in the center of the city and you have restaurants, cafes and bars within walking distance or a few meters should I say. I should return next year.

The hostel is very clean and really nice. I like it! Rooms are not so big as in the hotel, but you'll easely forgive it, because of it't cheapness and good location.

the best thing at the hostel is its location. It is also good, that the hostel is not big- in fact it is one appartement. The communication in English was no problem. the rooms are not really big, but for a short stay it is OK.

Overall, a very pleasant stay - the staff was very helpful, and the location in the city could not be better! It is not difficult to find, provided you follow the directions given exactly. Also, a little more clarity on the check-in time would have been appreciated, but the staff was very flexible in allowing early arrivals to secure extra baggage at the hostel prior to being able to check-in, so that we were able to explore the city.
