Clean, quiet and friendy staff, but rooms are small. Toilets are very close to kitchen/dining, don't fart too loudly! Also stayed at The Hive (~S$25/person a double) and 1 Florence Close is overpriced by about S$10-15/person in comparison.Clean, quiet and friendy staff, but rooms are small. Friendly, generally fine. V expensive for quality of hostel-but this was first Singapore F1 GP, everywhere 2x or 3x normal prices. I had twin rm, honestly futon beds on floor in rm were not very comfortable. I was not sharing rm, so 2nd bed was empty, but if I had been sharing then there was no room for any luggage for 2nd person. Internet connection was better than usual-both wireless and dtp available.

There are kind & nice staff and so cute cats. And you can get any attraction in 20 mins by MRT(subway). It takes 3 mins to get the station by walk. I stayed at the single room. that was clean and had a TV set but there isn't a window. If you neither want spend a lot of money nor want to stay at a dirty and noisy place, don't hesitate to choose 1 Florence Close. :) There are kind & nice staff and so cute cats. The room is small like everyone else is saying. Eventhough the mattress was on the floor, I never thought it would be that comfy... The pillows were good too! Shower rooms were a bit small too. The location can be quite far from the city centre but it was not as hectic and crowded as the city centre. I think it is about 5-10 minutes (including waiting time to cross the roads at the traffic lights) walking distance to the MRT station. The hostel was close enough to restaurants... 7-11 is nearby.....MoreThe room is small like everyone else is saying. Excellent location close to the MTR, supermarket across the road and planty of 24 hour eateries close by. Two lovely cats that keep you company and unlimited internet access to keep in touch with the family. The hostel appeals to the more mature crowds so no late night partyers drinking and keeping you awake, which is a bonus if youre looking for a good nights sleep. Staff are very friendly and helpful, the did our washing while we were away so grateful for that! Would definately go back again.
