The location of the hostel was great, right on the Usami beach front. A little hard to find (no longer any fishtank at the front) but staff was friendly, rooms were clean and fresh towels were provided. Advertised "onsen" not exactly accurate, but shower and toilet facilities available. A good place to stay if you're looking to surf at Usami or take a quick train trip further down the Izu.

The location is great, right next to Usami's nice beach. On the downside, they processed our reservation incorrectly. We reserved 2 rooms for 4 people, but for some reason they thought we reserved just one room for four people. They sorted it out, but it did mean we had to move rooms each night. Also we were charged a little for using their onsen, but they didn't mention there was a charge until the end. Still, it is a nice minshuku and I would still go there again for the location and price.
