Alex and Jacqueline are the very best and kindest hosts! They made our Carnaval experience in Salvador very special. The atmosphere of the hostel was fantastic as our hosts and their wonderful staff took a lot of pride in their home and welcoming all guests, making sure they are comfortable and relaxed. They truly made our stay a rememerable one! Thanks so much for your hospitality Open House Barra.

stayed on two seperate occasions. house is full of character, incense burning and 50/60s music playing. It was cool and had a great feel. The room we stayed in first was warm, most of the time. On the second occasion it was a bigger and cooler room. We cooked one evening and I and invited Alex to join. On our next visit @xmas Alex invited us to join, we couldn't eat due to our diet. We were offered a glass of wine each and I was surprised to have 25 reals added to the bill the next day for this
