This place is all about location, which is superb for Hollywood Boulevard. A short metro ride to Universal Studios, and a quick car journey to Mulholland (Hollywood sign on hill). Do not come here if you want a party hostel - our group were looking for somewhere quiet, and it certainly fulfilled this 110%. A sort of weird smell, but the place was clean. I would recommend this to people looking to explore this area in particular; staff generally very helpful and friendly.This place is all about location, which is superb for Hollywood Boulevard. Good points were the location, the kitchen which was small but never used, cable TV and nice rooms. Only bad point was the wierd guy who lived there and dominated the lounge room every night with his bad TV programmes. Great location, quiet. Not a party hostel but a good place to stay and explore on your own. This was my second stay here so I already knew how to get around. The location is perfect, just a few meters away from the best place you can be in Hollywood, imposible to get any better situation. BUT the hostel was not that great, it was really old, kind of creepy style. Our room looked like it was part of a haunted movie. The kitchen and the TV room were really small for all the people we were trying to cook or watch something. But if you don't care about this maybe you can like it.The location is perfect, just a few meters away from the best place you can be in Hollywood, imposible to get any better situation. located right next to the main part of the strip and easy to drive to as close to highway 101. Suited our 2 night stay. Location great. Had a car that cost $5 a night to park out back next to caretaker's(?Leslie) shed-his bed visible as you park. Laura gave us a quick tour before showing us to Room 7, apparently where Norma Jeane Baker used to stay. Beds were clean and the room basic. Ventilation was poor - ceiling fans perhaps? Small bathrooms/toilets bleached daily. Keith v helpful w directions. Stay if you want a basic, quiet, centrally located place.Suited our 2 night stay. Location great.
