The only good thing in this hostel is the location. The staff is unfriendly, there was no locker in my room, the bathrooms were very bad and in the first day there wasnt hot water.

Brilliant location and has everything you need!

Good location, however quite close to a dodgy area of the city. Great security, clean and reliable rooms. Facilities always clean. Staff ok. Some helpful, some rude. Hostel lacks atmosphere.

They do not have parking. They have a deal with a parking place a block or so away, costing approx. 17 dollars a day. Their own website says they do not have parking, even though they claim it as a facility in their hostelworld page. When we arrived the person who greeted us behaved very strangely and was very difficult to get information or help from. He was behaving as if high. All the other staff were very friendly and helpful, although this was a frustrating start to our stay.

Bad location - a lot of traffic which you can hear very loud in the rooms! Very clean and good breakfast! I would not recommend visitors to stay in downtown San Francisco - lots of noise, lots of homeless people, feels unsecure outside of the building and downtown could just as well be in London. Stay in other areas!!

Crowded by chinese people, even the staff always speeks chinese. It has a bad smell, not very clean. Neighborhood is not the best. But very central.

Room was tiny and totally airless. The window was small and looked at the other building just 2-3 meters away, so it was dark too. The hotel is super noisy. The only bright point is the location which is excellent. The price was very good but all in all I wouldn't recommend it - if you cannot get a good night's sleep here, what's the point?

This is an hostel so the rooms are not renewed every year or so but I felt safe and the location was great.

I really enjoyed staying at this hostel! The staff was friendly, our room was small but had cable and a minibar. Breakfast was simple but good, they have waffles. The location is great, the hostel is close to Market St, where you have access to the trains and all major bus lines, and Powell St., where you take the cable cars. Walk a couple blocks and you are in one of the fanciest areas in town, but the area around the hostel is a little more run down, and there are a LOT of homeless.

it is located in a pretty good location however it is right on the edge of. tenderloine as long as you stick to the right your fine however my friend did get attacked by one of the homeless people who luckily didn't run away with her money if it wasn't for the locals! the hostel is good for the money you pay but nothing like the pictures also alot of Korean students and no friendly welcoming parties or gatherings! it is right next to the Hilton which makes it feel safer, overall it was good.

The free breakfast was very helpful and they dont charge you for washing detergent like most hostels do. The location in general is abit dodgy, but its pretty close to the shopping district which is convenient.

Loved San Fran. Nice old building. Liked that there was a lift to help take our bags up. Staff always good for answering questions. Just a couple blocks away from shops and a main train station, which was SUPER handy. There was some sort of convenience store next door. Natural light, window for fresh air, fridge, basin, wardrobe and TV in our 3 bed room. Nothing bad to say.

It was quite cold in the room. The heater didn't work properly.

The hostel is in general fine, but expensive for the facilities it offer (fine compared with the prices around). The street looks dangerous, many homeless around and no parking. Nos recommended to go alone around during night

Crappy place, that is why there still were some rooms left.

Couple of chairs would be nice to have in their rooms.
