BAD, but TOLERABLE: The hostel was located far away from any destinations. It was possible to reach the Orchand by bus one way, it was almost impossible to go in the morning to the city or any nice beach by public transport. THE WORST: SERVICE and CLEANLINESS. It is not clean! It is disgusting dirty and cleaned 'upon request", which means at best the towels changed. Insects and caterpillars laid around in the room for many days, shower broken, kitchen utensils or any kitchen ware absent.

This hotel is nowhere near downtown. It is actually in a pretty rough area which means a lot of money on taxis. WiFi is only at the office not in the rooms and it is a terrible connection. Man at the office on the first day was so unclear when he spoke he was almost useless. I had to deal with the smoke alarm beeping every min (low on batt) because the technician couldn't find it in the room to replace it. Overall not too happy. Would not recommend

Wifi worked near the office. Pool was nice. It's a bit outside of town proper which was nice. Close to Montagu Beach. The bathroom was pretty gross but otherwise, the place was fine. Spartan. The continental breakfast was really just toast and coffee. There is an expensive grocery store just a 10 minute walk. If you want the grocery that most of the locals use, head to Mackey Street and go up the hill a bit. Much cheaper. Take the 19 jitney ($1.25) to Mackey and walk up the street from there.

Bahamas is expensive, but if you are already there you should try to look for a better hotel even if you have to pay more.

A nice place with decent location, good facilities, and management and staff who are very friendly and helpful for the most part. The unfortunate exception to that is the rude tall shaggy European clod hanging around, who's clearly in love with himself even though he doesn't yet seem to be housebroken.

WIFI works just in front of the office. It's an old hostel but for this price it's totally recomendable..

The hostel is what it is. Unless you're on the Atlantis Island; Nassau is as poor as snot and the hostel is actually in a pretty safe out of the way place, people are nice. If you were in Honolulu, the hostel would be just OK but because it's in Nassau, it's better than anything around it.

We stayed here because we were trying to enter Cuba and the price was the most reasonable I could find in Nassau. The manager was knowledgeable about a Cuban tour agency and this made the place worth the poor quality. I was charged for room cleaning the first day and I had no sheets. The faucet in the bathtub/shower came off while I was showering. Refrigerator was smelly; air conditioner was good. Breakfast consisted of Coffee, peanut butter, jelly and bread. Bus stops at 6:30 every day

Such a Hidden Gem! Amazing for the money with amazing staff. They will help you with anything you need. There is a grill and stove near the pool, a supermarket nearby. You have to take a bus into town which is cheap or you can walk if you want. Not a party hostel but new to the backpacker scene. They have been renovating rooms to make into dorms. If you are looking for a quiet place to hang out from your day at the beach or away from the hustle and bustle from travel this is it!

This might be the best deal in the Bahamas. I booked what I thought was a shared room, but had it to myself. I could not have been happier!

pros: -everyone is amazingly helpful and does their best for you to have a good stay -booked a shared room, got a private room "upgrade" for free (because not busy at the time) -convenience store nearby -good vibe, easy to meet people -community room has table tennis and foosball cons: -staff recommends not to leave after darkness, car is a big plus if you have it -walk to the good beaches too long, but bus stop in front
