Very difficult to find but very welcoming staff and good kitchen
We had a 2 person room, which was clean & the bathroom too. But the kitchen was a bit random and the whole setup was pretty cramped. But as we only stayed 1 night - it was fine. The area felt pretty sketchy even though it was central. Compared to other Sofia hostels, this may be normal, but for Europe, the hostel was definitely worse than my expectations. The host was nice enough. We stayed with an airbnb host later in the week and spent the same money for a much better apartment and host.
Very poorly signed (just a sticker on a post by the gate). This place has supposedly be recently renovated- it looked badly in need of redecorating and cleaning. Wifi didn't work on our floor. TV in the room had electrics exposed and didn't work either. No BBQ despite one being advertised. Kitchen filthy. Breakfast very poor quality. Staff had very poor English. Don't be fooled by the pictures- the rooms really aren't half as nice as the pictures make them seem.
Unfortunately the hostel was very difficult (in our case impossible!) to find, due to the differing locations. Asked numerous locals in the area and they had no idea.
No English speaking staff ( but she did her best @ reception )
It was a different hostel than the pictures and explanation said on hostelworld. Also not a great location, the upstairs neighbor really threatened us because we were just talking.
The hostel itself was nice, clean and the woman working was sweet although she didn't speak much English. We did have a problem when there were five of us sitting and having a glass of wine at about 11:30 when a man came from upstairs and violently threatened us if we didn't keep quiet. It was pretty terrifying, maybe they should let the guests know there are locals living in the appartments above... Who will scream and threaten lives... So be quiet after 10...
The hostel is more like a flat in which beds are rented out. It's clean though and quite central. Lockers don't work however and you only get one key for the whole flat, so not for the separate rooms in it. Only one of the women dealing with the hostel speaks sufficient English, they are constantly available though as they live right below the flat.

Charming! Perfect for small groups or individuals - I was one of a pair. The owner was a lovely, hardworking woman, very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was an absolute delight - including delicious homemade jam. An easy walk from the main streets and sights of Sofia. Ours was a comfortable twin room, and the building itself was pleasant and clean. The kitchen was the main social area, and we found it very easy to meet and chat with other hostel guests. Looking forward to returning one day soon!
Thanks so much for looking after me so well. I enjoyed meeting you and seeing your lovely home in Sofia.
Lovely place, very good breakfast.

The hostel has definitely more the style of a regular shared apartment than a hostel. For us it was the same as we arrived quite late in the evening. The directions have not been the best for pedestrians from the bus station. Against their description the breakfast is just included for bookings with 9 € per person and not the overall amount like it is stated in their description. It was really annoying to argue about this. In the end we had to pay one Euro extra.
Very nice and clean place in the centre of Sofia. Kind and friendly staff.
Great place to stay that is run by very friendly people.
Nicely located in a quiet street just outside the old city centre. The room was clean and well equipped. I could hear a washing machine running and people talking in the other rooms during the day but at night it was quiet. I would stay there again.
Very convenient location; clean rooms, friendly staff. Simply put, great value for the money.

We were a bit shocked at the dilapidated state of the building from outside but inside everything was very nice. It's not really like a hostel, just a few room in a converted apartment and we were the only guests. Elena, the caretaker lives downstairs and was friendly and helpful. She gave us information about the free Sofia tour - a must for anyone visiting the city and made us Bulgarian breakfasts of white cheese and tomatoes, bread and homemade jam.
I have stayed here twice...the review I made below is actually for another hostel...due to a false link from my e/mail account. Still that review fits quite nicely except there was no washing machine running. A quiet place just around the corner from a small shopping street which has a Billa supermarket, cafes etc. There is also a market hall and an outdoor market nearby. Nice place if you need some sleep or some privacy. Rooms vere nicely furnished and clean. I would stay there again.
