It's about 25 minute walk from Petra, so that's cool. The hills are a killer tho. Muhamed took care of me when I told him that I was cold. It's always nice to have someone respond to your needs.
The hostel is located in the wadi musa city, more or less 1,5 km away from petra. It was easy to reach petra from the hostel. It is close to markets and restaurants. It is cheap and the bed was good. The only problem is the mosque nearby, which is a bit noisy. But we had a great stay there. The owner helped us to arrange our tour in wadi rum desert, which was really good!
Very nice, great located hostel! The owner is helpful, prices are attractive, i can only recommend it!:)
If you compare the value for morney, its okay. Just has to improve the cleanliness (a lot).
friendly owner- upgraded us to an ensuite. However, no hot water in shower- freezing cold. The lunchbox was overpriced and consisted of random items in the kitchen it seemed e.g. butter and jam but no knife for spreading!
a few notes for those thinking about staying in this hostel. 1) Ask for the hot water immediately after your arrival. Otherwise cold shower welcomes you after walking around dusty Petra at chilly night. Apparently they turn off hot water in summer time and they don't notify that to you until the time you complain about it. 2) Ask everything you need to know when you see the owner (e.g. WiFi pw). The owner is often away and another guy at the reception says only "i don't know, ask the owner"
