First night was good. However being being woken up at 1am and then having to haggle over the bill (which we had already agreed to a price on) for 10mins definitely ruined the experience
The people at the desk seemed incredibly confused that we had reserved rooms online and couldn't find our reservations. It was hard to communicate which rooms we wanted (although we speak Arabic) and for some reason communicate that we wanted the WiFi password, so we just did without. I don't think they know they're even on Hostel World.

The owner was incredibly helpful and nice, and we really enjoyed spending time with him. He helped us arrange transportation and gave us useful traveling advice. Our room had a private bathroom and balcony overlooking Wadi Musa and Petra, and after a long day it was the perfect place to play chess and watch the sunset. There is a very decently priced restaurant down the street (the Cleopatra) that I would also highly recommend, and the bakery next door sells some delicious spinach pockets.
