Stayed for three nights, good hostel for backpackers only for sleep & go, but if you want something to arrange with reception guys prepare yourself for slight ripoff. Breakfast 2.5JD, lunch box 5JD (apple, orange, cucumber, 1 cheese triangle, juice, muffin, pita bread), tea 0.5JD . Room was clean enough and there is a great view on petra mountains.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, we had a great stay at the Orient Gate Hotel. I would highly recommend it. Amazing view out of the bedroom balcony.

This is a simple hostel reflecting the lower price you pay. The staff bent over backwards to be helpful all the time we were there, including helping us when our car wouldn't start. We always felt very comfortable and well looked after by the staff. Hot water was available at particular times in the morning and evening and gave us very nice showers. The view from our balcony was also impressive.

It seemed that the staff didn\'t put any effort into improving the circumstances (cold water, no heating, horrible breakfast, etc.) unlike the inscription on the hotels buisness card. Moreover, the owner wanted to charge us with 10 Dinar for calling a cab (!). We had to help ourselves out by asking random locals...In sum, we would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

Great location, near Petra and close to good restaurants. Staff was very helpful. Very old facilities and very dirty. No heat in the winter. We huddled around a space heater and tried to avoid stepping on the toenail clippings on the carpet. Needs serious rennovation. Regardless, if you want a cheap place to stay and only care about trekking around Petra, then it's a fine choice.
