Roof top terrace for the win 30 bed dorm was pretty clean

We stayed here in May/June and definitely enjoyed it. The rooftop terrace is one of the best, the staff was very helpful (and it was especially nice and easy to have in-house travel agency help) and the price is right. The only drawbacks were a low shower:bed ratio and hard mattresses. The front rooms (the 8-bed dorms) on the first floor are also INCREDIBLY noisy from the bar below, but the staff let us switch rooms after we asked the next morning. Avoid these rooms unless you'll be out late.

I absolutely loved this hostel. The staff were fantastic, nothing was too much trouble. The food was great, every time and I would highly recommend it to travelers wanting to meet new friends over a beer and shisha. 10/10

The hostel has a nice bar outside always with lots of young people; It is cleaned everyday; The tips of the staff are priceless (prices of taxis, and so on) The breakfast is not that good and the woman who is serving it never smiled to us!

It is the second time I went to this hostel cause I loved it the first time. The staff is amazing and so is the location; the breakfast is very good. The atmosphere is what I liked the most, it helps a lot to socialize and meet new people. Absolutely reccomended!

Hostel has it's own handy bar, and they tend to play loud music upstairs in the evening in the top floor. In the summer it would be nice of a morning/evening when the top floor windows are opened to go out on the terrace. Great location for exploring Sultanahmet - just 3 minutes walk from Hagia/Aya sophia, but a small room, average cleanliness and staff. Reasonable value for the money (£22/night for a double room for one was cheap, albeit in January). A basic continental breakfast is included.

The location is really good.. but the bathrooms were quite bad.. No water pressure whatsoever and barely any hot water. Travelling in winter time, this was a terrible thing to deal with.

Orient was located in a good neighborhood with plenty of shops and restaurants surrounding the hostel. When my wife and I arrived the front desk clerk was helpful. The room itself was musty and we had to open the window to let fresh air come in. The have a roof top terrace with amazing views. The breakfast was filling but basic. The shared bathrooms were gross at times but if you got ready in the morning after the staff cleaned them it wasn't a problem.
