Very nice refurbished building, maintaining the original structure with moderm details, especially in lamps that gives the place a cozy atmosphere, like shown in the pictures, besides the staff that are really nice people and kindly. I felt like home in every moment. Excellent located. They have keys for all the rooms and in dorms, where i stayed, they have large lockers with security too, The cleanliness is really well care not only in bathrooms but also in the big kitchen. Congratulations!

Very clean hostel, but 2 bathrooms for 15 people is not a lot. Apart from that, it was very cold. I don't think they have central heating. I was cold the entire weekend! Actually I think everyone in the hostel was as they were all walking around in their coats!

There's just one bathroom with 2 showers for 17 guests and the rooms are very cold in the winter season.

great stay at the oriental, very homey and the complimentary breakfast was just what we needed. Private room was excellent, as we're the shared rooms. 5 minute walk from the historical quarter of the town and short walk to the bus terminal/ferry port. Would recommend.

Me encantó estae en el hostel: que fuera tan limpio, en excelentes condiciones, con tan buena vibra de ambiente y que la persona que recibe fuera alguien tan respetuoso, agradable y atento.

Oriental is quite clean, quiet, and homelike. It isn't on the main street, but Colonia is so small that everything is a short walk away. The breakfast was disappointing. Only a small piece of cake, small pieces of toasted bread, and coffee. There is no storage for large luggage, but each room has a locker. If you go, try to pay the total fee in Uruguayan pesos, you'll probably pay about 35% more if you ask them to let you pay with Argentine pesos.

The place is really prety and clean, i don`t remember a hostel clean as this one. Their owners are the staff so you will be attended like really nice. They make regional food for dinners on the weekends so you can join them and the other guests. The place is calm, you can sleep well. The rooms are really big, and the price is okey.

A cute and cozy house that reminds you of a house in the Orient. The single room I had was beautiful; high ceiling and dark wooden floor, with an eye for details and a place to feel at home. The owners are helpful and very friendly. There is also a cute dog in the house. There is a kitchen and a big table where you eat your breakfast. The owner doesn't refuse to cook coffee for you even breakfast time is already over. I couldn't make a better choice for my three nights in Colonia del Sacramento.

We loved this hostel. The couple who run it are super friendly and welcoming. We had a parillada one night and it was like a big family dinner. They have renovated the property and it has lots of lovely period details. Only 2 bathrooms for everyone, but it worked fine.

The guy owner is very unfriendly and did´t allow baggage storage, without money deposit. The girl owner is friendly. The room was very hot and the van was making a lot of noise, there are no normal windows (to outside) in the rooms. Location is good.

The pictures on the site show the hostel in a much nicer way than the real thing.

We had a really nice stay in your hostel! A quiet, clean and well organized place. Good air conditioning, beds, lockers, bath rooms and kitchen! @ Guests with poor mathematical skills (like us): Be aware to pay much more if you pay in Argentinian Pesos (than in Uruguayan Pesos)! We only realized this afterwards... :P

Pluses: Nice staff, very large shared bedroom with lots of space which is unusual for a hostel. Minuses: Only one shower for all the rooms, which means waiting in line...

It was a good hostel to meet people as it is so small. The staff was very nice and helpful. They give everyone a locker with a key, which is nice. The only annoying thing is that there are only 2 bathrooms for ~16 guests, but it works out.
