We were the only guests there, very quiet. The lady was nice but not that helpful. Breakfast was not good.Room was ok.

It is an okay hostel, but there are 2 bathrooms (separate from our room) attached to the kitchen with an open ceiling, so you can hear everything (!) You had to pay extra for towels and the room that we slept in had no window and was very humid.

The Hostel was fine, the staff friendly, the only reason why I rated the athmosphere lower, is that it was very quiet and there where no other guets. Probably very different in the weekends:)

It was a good hostel for colonia... I was there only one night but it was very useful for that time. Good staff.

I was pretty dissapointed in the "service" I received from this hostel. After I checked in, I was basically left to my own devices to find the bathrooms, kitchen etc. I felt like I was a nuisance, not a guest. There is also no information on the website about a dog (at least not that I saw?) which lingers around and begs while you are eating, which is awful and awkward. There is no lock on the front door which to me was strange.... But they do provide sturdy lockers with a refundable deposit.

Nice little hostel, room sizes were great and there was a good spread for breakfast. Lots of space to chill out, and water pressure in the showers was amazing!

Pros: Friendly staff. Good music in lobby but if youd rather have quiet this is a con. Clean shared bathrooms. Big kitchen, patio area. Lobby was very chill with good wifi Cons: we got the private room with matrimonial bed, room was big, but hot and air con was weak. No window in room. You have to rent the towels for $2 us.

Staff were unfriendly and very unwelcoming on arrival. This set the tone for our stay. Breakfast very plain - only tea/coffee, bread and cakes! Problems with payment at the end of our stay, girl tried to charge us extra. We would not recommend.

Loved this charming, new hostel option, in an historic bldg, located at the end of Lavalleja ST., nearest the beaches of Colonia, close to the main city plaza, restaurants, bars and sites. Our hosts, Pablo and Rosa are charming, helpful and patient and hosted a typical Argentine/Uruguayan asado, one night, for us.....so familiar and fun!! The only thing is they were waiting for fans and a/c, at that moment, so, a little hot/humid, which may be changed, as we speak.

Adequate facilities, really nice staff who live onsite. Important to note is the dorm rooms and 1 double (where we stayed) don't have any windows, are located in interior rooms, so they get REALLY stuffy at night and even more so in hot weather! We wouldn't stay here again for that reason alone!

The hostel, and it´s staff was really nice but I had problems paying for the night. My Hostelworld booking told me I had to pay 15,75 US dollars, which changed to Argentinian dollars was around 85. I actually had to pay 117 Argentinian dollars because the hostel used a Uruguayan website to calculate the rate. That was confusing for me and they feld uncomfortable because of it. Hostelworld should say this clearly on there website, that you will pay the uruguayan rate from thi special website.
