Azri and his wife were very welcoming. The double room we booked was nice clean and well decorated. The twin room was rather small but enough. Both with air conditioning which is essential in hot malaysia weather especially after a day of walking and food sampling. He always answers our questions and give us good direction and recommendations. Definitely recommend this place.

Great place at a great price. the owners are very friendly and the area is in a good location. A few of the rooms don't have windows, but you have to take in consideration that you "get what you pay for".

Great little guesthouse in a awesome, central location. The owners were nice enough to stay up way past midnight until we finally managed to reach. Very nice people running the hostel and overall as well very tidy. We were very happy with our room and if we head to Melaka again, we'll see to book here first. :)

Nice little guesthouse in Melaka right next to the river. The owner is a really friendly man who sat us down on arrival and told us about the city and gave us a map and talked us through the sights as well as the restaurants etc. The room was a little small for a twin but had air con so all good. The bathrooms are clean and its generally a nice place. Would stay there again

We had a fantastic stay at Oriental Riverside Residence. We extended our stay several times. Our room (5) had a super comfy bed, and overlooked the canal. The shared bathroom was spotless, I think we were only sharing it with one other room. 2 minute walk to Jonker, and a well stocked minimart next door. The owners were lovely, they gave us lots of information about our upcoming trip to Myanmar. Highly recommend. Would have no hesitations in staying again.

Would stay again. Would send others there. Staff is very nice and helpful. Air con works well in the room which is great as so hot. Price is fine.

Miriam, the owner (i think), is a very nice person. She helped me to enjoy the best of malaka, and also provided me with a map. My room, single room on the third floor, was kind of stinky. Perhaps because there was no window and the air didn't circulate well.

Great fun stay by the river side beautiful apart from the constant boats going up and down. U soon get bored of waving to people. But compared to staying away from the river I would always prefer this little niggle.

Very good hostel a long the river. Its the perfect place to relax and enjoy the river side of Malaka. The owner is extremely friendly and helpful to know what you have to see in Malaka. The room is cheap and, and the bathroom is really clean.
