As usual, I enjoyed my recent 2-day stay at Orsa Maggiore (it's the 4th time I've been there). The staff is well -prepaired and helpful, and the location makes it easy to enjoy the best that Rome has to offer. The courtyard is a nice place to relax after a full day of running around the city. The breakfast could be perked up a little, though it's ok for the price.... Maybe a choice of whole-wheat or dark bread instead of only white for toast?

The neighborhood location of Trastevere is wonderful and close enough to many sights that I rarely used public transportation, usually a 10 - 20 minute walk from the Vatican for example. The breakfast is pretty poor, but that is my only complaint.

Everything work nicely here. Rooms are spacious, although the bathrooms are quite old and they smell a bit even though they are cleaned every day, Nice, helpful staff.

One of the best hostels so far! This is the place, if you are searching for a place to spend a relaxed vacation. The hostel is in one of the prettiest parts of rome, the rooms are spacious, the breakfast is good and the staff really nice! If you are searching for a place to have party, this is not the right place, but you can relax here and meet nice people.

Overall it wasn't a bad place to stay. The bathrooms are a little dingy, breakfast wasn't too bad, the employees were very helpfu and nice. Be aware that staying here does involve a LOT of walking to all the main attractions of Rome, except for Vatican City, of course.

Truly, my stay could not have been better. I waited too long to make reservations so had to take a four bed dorm, but that turned out to be just fine. It is true that the bathroom shower could use some work, but that was a minor thing since the water came strong and refreshing. I especially appreciated the respect and politeness from staff and from guests. This is the kind of place some of us dreamed for in the 70s, a place where every woman could feel at home. Very peaceful.

This hostel was really nice. It's location is wonderful near all the restaurants in Trastevere and sights of the city. The only bad thing was that I got bedbugs froms this place. My friend who was staying in the same room didn't get any bites, so I guess I'm just really sensitive for those bedbug bites. Otherwise our stay in this hostel was very pleasant! The staff was really nice and everyone spoke excellent english! Thanks to Orsa Maggiore women!!

Very nice and very quiet place in the centre of Roma. The atmosphere allow to rest after the whole day in famous places. I hope that in the future I will come back here again and I will give my recommendation to all my friends. Anna

Well, when I looked into staying here, I wasn't sure...but, it was wonderful. Staff was helpful, there is a place to eat on the property...Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner, but...hey, nothing is perfect, and compared to most hostels this is awesome. My only complaint: If I come back in the fall, I was told my guide dog was not welcome. Since Europe's laws are not the same with regards to guide/service dogs, I have no choice, but it is disappointing to say the least.

The breakfast was horrible. Please use real plates and cups and serve fruit and real bread.

Since the cabin door of the shower was broken: I really advise to invest ONE TIME into solid shower cabins. And clean them regularly with some clorix...

This hostel was amazing, I stayed 3 days with a friend, and we love it :) The location is perfect, between the Vaticano and Trastevere, close to stop buses and stations too. The rooms are perfect, all is very clean, safe and quiet. The bathroom are good too. The breakfast is very good, with a lot of choice. All we have to say is positif ! Next time we will go to Roma, we will stay here again :)

I've had a really nice stay at Orsa Maggiore. Slept well, nice people, breakfast was ok, only there was no kitchen (if I'm not wrong) where you could cook dinner. Then again is a pizza in Trastevere not so bad either, so all in all - I would definitely come back here!

It is a bit difficult to find if this is your first visit to Rome. Map it out from home before you leave. Loved the women only.

I had a good time there, but it was really just a place to stay and to store food in the refrigerator. The showers are communal and only two of the bathroom lights worked.pretoria it was close to the restaurant district but far away from everything else but the vatican.

I loved the staff attention to my needs with maps, suggestions and help. The dorm room was spacious, quiet, well ventilated and secure. It was easy to get to see the sights in Rome from the hostel and the elevator was just what I needed.
