One of the best hostels so far! This is the place, if you are searching for a place to spend a relaxed vacation. The hostel is in one of the prettiest parts of rome, the rooms are spacious, the breakfast is good and the staff really nice! If you are searching for a place to have party, this is not the right place, but you can relax here and meet nice people.

If your a college student who wants to go out, I would not recommend this hostel because it has a 3am curfew.

Truly, my stay could not have been better. I waited too long to make reservations so had to take a four bed dorm, but that turned out to be just fine. It is true that the bathroom shower could use some work, but that was a minor thing since the water came strong and refreshing. I especially appreciated the respect and politeness from staff and from guests. This is the kind of place some of us dreamed for in the 70s, a place where every woman could feel at home. Very peaceful.

This hostel was really nice. It's location is wonderful near all the restaurants in Trastevere and sights of the city. The only bad thing was that I got bedbugs froms this place. My friend who was staying in the same room didn't get any bites, so I guess I'm just really sensitive for those bedbug bites. Otherwise our stay in this hostel was very pleasant! The staff was really nice and everyone spoke excellent english! Thanks to Orsa Maggiore women!!

Thank you for the good review! We would like to specify that we never had bedbugs in the room. All the guests who used the room before you and after you didn't report any bedbug bite, and we always sanify all the rooms with high temperature special steam.

Very nice and very quiet place in the centre of Roma. The atmosphere allow to rest after the whole day in famous places. I hope that in the future I will come back here again and I will give my recommendation to all my friends. Anna

Well, when I looked into staying here, I wasn't sure...but, it was wonderful. Staff was helpful, there is a place to eat on the property...Bathrooms could be a bit cleaner, but...hey, nothing is perfect, and compared to most hostels this is awesome. My only complaint: If I come back in the fall, I was told my guide dog was not welcome. Since Europe's laws are not the same with regards to guide/service dogs, I have no choice, but it is disappointing to say the least.

The breakfast was horrible. Please use real plates and cups and serve fruit and real bread.

Since the cabin door of the shower was broken: I really advise to invest ONE TIME into solid shower cabins. And clean them regularly with some clorix...

This hostel was amazing, I stayed 3 days with a friend, and we love it :) The location is perfect, between the Vaticano and Trastevere, close to stop buses and stations too. The rooms are perfect, all is very clean, safe and quiet. The bathroom are good too. The breakfast is very good, with a lot of choice. All we have to say is positif ! Next time we will go to Roma, we will stay here again :)

I've had a really nice stay at Orsa Maggiore. Slept well, nice people, breakfast was ok, only there was no kitchen (if I'm not wrong) where you could cook dinner. Then again is a pizza in Trastevere not so bad either, so all in all - I would definitely come back here!

It is a bit difficult to find if this is your first visit to Rome. Map it out from home before you leave. Loved the women only.

I had a good time there, but it was really just a place to stay and to store food in the refrigerator. The showers are communal and only two of the bathroom lights worked.pretoria it was close to the restaurant district but far away from everything else but the vatican.

I loved the staff attention to my needs with maps, suggestions and help. The dorm room was spacious, quiet, well ventilated and secure. It was easy to get to see the sights in Rome from the hostel and the elevator was just what I needed.

It's a good place to stay if you want to go to bed early and see rome. In terms of meeting people and partying, not so much. (curfew at 3am). The beds are comfy and not bunk beds, and all the facilities are clean. There are many showers and toilets so you don't have to wait to use them. The beds are made everyday! The staffs are super helpful, and breakfast is good. It's really close to vatican and trastevere. Bus station is 3-7min walk. Colosseum is 35min, san angelo 10min, piazza navona 15min.

This hostel was by far my favorite of all that I've stayed in. I love how there are no bunk beds, and the rooms were spacey and airy. The front desk was incredibly helpful, and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. The location was fantastic, and I recommend it to everyone!

Please extend diving walls ALL the way up to the ceiling. 204 May be a 5 bed room, but we can hear everything in the connected room, and their lights affect 204 as well. And please get some proper bread for breakfast that isn't completely dried out.

Owner Comment (Show)
At the moment we can't extend the wall all the way up to the ceiling. That's why we sell the 2 rooms as a 9 bed dorm even if the beds are 5 in one room and 4 in another.
