Overall, I had a good stay. I was a little pissed when I was told that I could not get new blankets after another guest drunkenly peed on my bed in the middle of the night (and also that she had no repercussions, i.e. paying for an extra night and refunding one of mine), but there may have been a language issue there. It would be nice to have WiFi throughout the hostel, instead of just the corridor, and I did not know about the 3am curfew before booking. Overall, average, but worth the price.

You had new blankets, even if no pee was detected. The drunk guest left very early in the morning so we couldn't speak with her. The 3am curfew is stated in the Hostelworld website and in the confirmation notes. The WiFi is in the corridor ( where you have tables and sofas) and in the breakfast room, but the technician said it is impossible to bring it in the rooms, because the walls are too thick, beeing a XVI century building.

The beds were comfortable and the room was fine. The showers were very small - I could barely wash my feet. We later learned that there were other showers down the hall. The breakfast was good and we met some great women there. I would stay here again.

I was very pleased to be at the casa internationale delle donne. The location is perfect and the big garden is nice and quiet in the centre of rome.

I loved my stay at Orsa Maggiore. The staff were very friendly, helpful and protective of the women who were staying there. I felt very safe which was a concern for me because I was traveling by myself. They had large lockers and so it was easy to store my stuff. The free wi-fi worked well in the hallways but not in the rooms. The location was great! just a 10-15 min walk to Vatican city and tons of shops and restaurants. I only wish the showers where bigger. other than that no complaints!

We stayed for three days and loved the Hostel. The location is super, with a walkable distance to every attraction. The area closest to the Hostel, Trastevere, is quiet and beautiful, with a great variety of dining options. The staff at the Hostel were very friendly and helpful and all the rooms were located away from traffic, so the nights are very quiet. When I go back to Rome I will most definitely consider staying here again!

I only had two days to spend in Rome and wanted everything to be on walking distance. Orsa Maggiore was an excellent choice. Not a party hostel but since I spent my days wandering around Rome and only needed a little resting place, it was a perfect place for that. Great location, free breakfast, free wifi and a helpful staff. I stayed in dorm with 3 other ladies and the room was spacious and had cabinets with locks. The instructions on how to find the place were spot on. Would stay again.

This hostel is very memorable for us!! The bathrooms were questionable with glitches and dirty but the staff was extremely friendly and knowledgable. It was a little hard to find except that we took a shuttle to get dropped off directly in front of the hostel. The breakfast was amazing!!!! The odd rules were not a problem for us at all. A perfect place for a pair of easy going girls!!

Dommage. Michele.

Very good staff, helpful. Clean rooms, excellent location, good atmosphere. The only 2 small problems I've noticed is that it was quite cold in the room and the plastic cups for breakfast were of very bad quality... Sometimes when I pulled the boiling water to make tea the plastic simply broke.

We had a great stay! It was a peaceful place to relax in after busy days out exploring Rome. We could make tea and coffee in the evenings. However, bowls and plates would have been useful. Thank u for being kind to us and very helpful!

Great stay at Orsa Maggiore! Located in what became my favorite district of Rome, the hostel was safe, comfortable, and spacious. The 3am curfew didn't cramp my style too much, and I appreciated the heating in the building, as many hostels skimp on that. It was also great to have computers available to use, and the entire staff was quite friendly and helpful. Will definitely return next time I am in Rome!

This was a very great value for the money! The staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was filling. Although this is not located in the heart of the city, its right on the river so its easy to find from anywhere on the city. Very close to the vatican. Would love to go back.

Didn't realise it was a one hour walk from the station, was inconvenient with large bags. Dirty floors in bathroom, odd smell in rooms and especially bathrooms. Unsure why kitchen is locked and rooms are not during the night? Staff were less avaliable then other hostels we've been to. Breakfast was not as good as we were hoping for but free so if your on a budget it's alright.

On the web page and in the confirmation there are diretions and busses to catch to arrive at the Hostel You do not need to walk. Bathrooms and rooms are cleaned every morning. The kitchen is closed from 3 am to 7 am. The rooms have their key. The reception is open from 7 am to 3 am and the staff is always in. We don't know of any other Hostel having this kind of breakfast included in the rate: Lavazza espresso coffee, cappuccino, cacao, jams, 2 kind of cheese, yougourts, cake, butter, tea, corn flakes, bread, rusks.
