Me and my friend had great time in Osa Mariposa for 5 days! This hostel is like small tropical paradise near the beach and taxi ride to the center only 5 minutes (25-30 pesos only). Nice terrace and hammock bar, good food and great staff! Best hostel I have been for loooooong time!

What a great hostel! One of the best I've ever stayed at. Cool, calm vibe. EXCELLENT food! Delicious. This is a very unique place run by some people who really give a damn. Thanks guys! I wish I could've stayed longer... I'll be going back again for sure. A quality establishment that I will be recommending to friends. Try the mejitos and the bean burgers! Perfect for a hot afternoon!

The distance from Main Puerto Escondido was hardly a problem-a 5 minute walk down the beach from the hostel is just fine for swimming and you'll still find beach-side places to eat and grab drinks. Walking to the top of the street and waiting for a collectivo (shared truck taxi) to take you into town was super convenient. We really liked Osa's bohemian and low-key atmopshere.
