Located close to the beach and St-Kildas bars and restaurants. VERY noisy. my room had a window and the people were just sitting by it outside partying. I told the manager and she didnt do much. I had to wake up twce during the night, one time I was too cold, and he other TV was EXTREMELY loud and had to turn it off. REception was closed until 10 am so couldnt find any help to have blanket and had to wait to check out. Had to put mattres on floor cause of springs

It might have had a lot to do with the people who where also staying there, but I just felt rather uncomfortable there. One night was so noisy that the cops showed up twice.

The Hostel ist very ramdom. The Entree makes a good impression, maybe to paper the cracks of the hostels rooms and it's inhabitants. I couldn't help having the dim suspicion, that the guest are not only travellers but socially abandoned people that can't afford to live anywhere else. The rooms are ok but not at any high standard at all, only just clean enough to spend your days in but the bathroom and the toilets only seems to be cleaned every now and again.

Rooms were filthy, no staff from 10pm so no-one on site overnight to help with any problems. The kitchen was very underequipped and dirty. As were the bathroom facilities.... hadn't been cleaned for at least 3 days! Would not recommend to stay here.

I only stayed for a couple of days but got a very good impression. A very nice hostel with a lot of movement and incredibly friendly staff that will always help out the best they can. I would definitely recommend this to anyone planning on spending time in St Kilda.

Really nice place but not clean enough. Pity the kitchen closes at 10pm but really good times in there.

I never been in such a disgusting place ! The staff had an attitude like they were doing a favor to only let us know if my lost bags arrived from the airport.. They were poorly "cleaning" the kitchen at 9am when is the busyest time, telling everyone to get out of kitchen and worse (the receptionist black straigh hair + the "cleaner" a strang dirty man were laughing at people's face because they were eating and had to move everything out). A VERY NOISY place, impossible to have a good sleep..

The only good thing about this hostel is the location. A ten minute walk to the beach. Other than that, the rooms were dirty, so was the kitchen, there were about 4 forks and 2 spoons in the whole hostel, the beds weren't even made when we checked in (had to pick up sheets and blankets from reception). Then there were people partying right outside our door and in the courtyard until 6AM. This hostel should cost much less than 30$/night. Stay elsewhere if you can.

This Hostel was extremely dirty, the bathrooms were never clean, someone puked in the sink one night and it was left there for days. There are notices up saying to keep the noise down after 11, however this is not followed, people get drunk and spend the night screaming, and there is noone around to tell them to be quiet. The staff are very nice and the location is great, however it's hard to enjoy the area when you know that you have to come back and stay there for the night.

Upon arrival was upgraded to twin room which was located at the 2nd building through the courtyard. The room was just big enough for twin beds and was very basic and old. The curtain had to be picked up from corner and hung by us. Overall I was shocked by the age of the room. Front door was always locked which was a good thing only if they had cut us the 2nd set of keys they promised.

Staff at the front counter were very unorganised. Rooms were dirty on arrival with crumbs around the floor and seats. Shower facilitates were filthy. But good location and close to lovely shops and very close to the beach.

The worst hostel in 3 months of backpacking (23 hostels) Staff : not friendly, not efficient. Room : nobody came to clean it in 3 days and the mattress was so thin that I felt the bed slat. There was no ladder or rail to upper bed. Noise : a lot of people were talking, laughing, screaming, shouted until 5 am !! Nobody of the staff came ! Location : just near prostitutes and a homeless centre. Except if you have no other choice, avoid this hostel !
