quiet and free hostel, that's what we looked for. the cooker didnt work very well, we used quite a long time to cook. the room is spacious, clean toilet. far from city center but reachable by metro. make use of the 24h transport ticket.

The Hostel was bit hard to find at first.Especially from the train station. The train station has 3-exits which was bit confusing to follow the map.But when we found it was bit creepy, knowing that it was a Mental Institute before. Also the writing Nobody is Normal outside the entrance was bit weird. But once we got inside and in our room everything was good. They had cheap water&coffee machines and it was comfortable and clean. The bathrooms were just renovated so it was clean. We enjoyed our stay.

We got in very late and it was a bit spooky at first - hard to find the entrance. But we were extremely lucky that they were willing to let us in so late - I think they usually close at 10pm but we got in around 1am. Very helpful.

The hostel is ok in terms of infrastructure. The building\'s kind of old, and the facilities in need of repair, but the rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly and generous to the group of 5 I was in. Overall, the accommodation is a bit run-down, but clean, with friendly, English-speaking staff, and though the location is far from city-center, it\'s down the street from the metro.

Really far from the city center. I\'ve spent too much time inside the metro and it is even distant from the train station. I would\'t stay there again.

I actually had a nice stay with this hostel. Most of the staff spoke English and the space was very clean. They allow dogs,so it is possible you might have a doggie surprise. It is located 3min walk from the subway and railway. A good place to stay. 2.75stars

The hostel is great, but if you decide to come back after midnight then take a taxi. We were terrified coming back and ended up walking through a very dangerous area of town. If I could do it again I would have paid for a taxi or stayed in the center. Milan is HUGE...be warned! And all the buses don't run late at night.

I enjoyed the different environment in this re-purposed psychiatric hospital. I lived the kitchen, we cooked there one night, and it was a nice spot to hang out. The bathrooms and room seemed very clean. The location was not best, but it was not unmanageable, just bear in mind that you will be paying a couple metro tickets a day (1.5 euro a ride). There is absolutely nothing besides the bar-restaurant next to the hostel to see or to do in the area.

The stove, water heater, or anything in the kitchen basically doesn't work. The room and bathroom are okay though.

This place was scary, with some kind of \'patients\' wandering the building at all hours. I had one guy put his head in front of mine while I was at my computer, and he breathed like he had never done it before. There was also a caged area outside the hotel that people stood behind. It was all very clean, but the staff were a little uncaring (mostly the large old bald guy). You are not allowed alcohol unless it was with a meal, but one of the patients was drinking \'vino\' from a polystyrene cup.

A decent hostel, that is a ways outside of the downtown. We stayed in the private suite which was large and simple. Nt a lot of decorations. The place was clean, the bed was not that comfortable, but the staff were good. A bonus is that every Saturday morning there is a market that setps up outside of the hostel that offers some great food at really affordable prices, Overall this hostel was nothing special, but in Milan where places fill up so fast it was decent for what we paid.

Interesting experience, far out of town but close to the metro. There were not too many people there but it was January, not the most popular time to visit Milan. Staff was very good!
